Ohio primary, Rhode Island primary, Texas primary, and the Vermont primary......

And here's something we know you'll really like.....

TEXAS: The state Democratic Party said the Clinton campaign is threatening a lawsuit over the caucus portion of the prim-caucus. "In a letter sent out late Thursday to both the Clinton and Barack Obama campaigns, Texas Democratic Party lawyer Chad Dunn warned a lawsuit could ruin the Democrats' effort to re-energize voters just as they are turning out in record numbers. Spokesmen for both campaigns said there were no plans to sue ahead of the March 4 election. â??It has been brought to my attention that one or both of your campaigns may already be planning or intending to pursue litigation against the Texas Democratic Party,â?? Dunn wrote in the letter, obtained by the Fort Worth Star-Telegram. â??Such action could prove to be a tragedy for a reinvigorated Democratic process.â??

â??Democratic sources said both campaigns have made it clear that they might consider legal options over the complicated delegate selection process, which includes both a popular vote and evening caucuses. But the sources made it clear that the Clinton campaign in particular had warned of an impending lawsuit. â??Both campaigns have made it clear that they would go there if they had to, but I think the imminent threat is coming from one campaign,â?? said one top Democratic official, referring to the Clinton campaign. The officials spoke on condition of anonymity."

I've been watching this all night. I really thought Obama had it in the bag but I suppose I was wrong. Hillary Clinton is ahead in Texas (Primary), Ohio, and Rhode Island.

And Obama has Vermont and Texas (Caucus).

LMAO....just gave ol' Clinton my vote. I figure McCain has it locked up and doesn't need the help. If Clinton can win Wisconsin and Washington it should bring things a bit closer between the two. The longer we can keep the pit bulls at each others necks the better for the GOP.

It doesn't mean anything when the GOP has a frontrunner that has been unapposed by any member with even a slight chance of passing him. Hillary and Obama are neck and neck, without the GOP's luxury of only one candidate of realistic potential for victory. Of course the Republicans will appear united under these circumstances, but believing their campaign retoric of being "the great party of unity!" is just naive. Politicians see an advantage for a superficially beneficial image and they pounce; I'm sure you've seen it a thousand times over in your 40-something years my good man.

Are you serious? Up until New Hampshire he was considered broke, out of options, and probably the race. He beat out the ones considered to be the main contenders.

McCain is considered a moderate conservative which isn't the greatest with the hard right but it does appeal to the independents. With either Obama or Clinton, the party will unite with anyone in order to defeat them.

The BEAUTY of it is that Obama, Clinton....

Obama fans, Clinton fans,
http://boards.cannabis.com/current-events/150479-now-if-rest-dems-would-start-doing-wink-wink.html
will be at each others necks for the next 6 months.:D

McCain is all about running a clean campaign....by the time the general election comes that will be refreshing to the voters. "The enemy of my enemy is my friend"; the GOP had two new friends with Obama and Clinton.

And when the GOP was facing multiple potentials, the criticisms were just as harsh!

Remember Giuliani attacking Romney on his immigration policy and supposed illegal houseworkers?

YouTube - The CNN/YouTube Republican Debate, Romney Vs Giuliani (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pb5c5KBXSvk&feature=related)

Giuliani demanding retractions from Paul on his opinions about foreign policy and the cause of 9/11.

YouTube - Terrorism: Ron Paul vs. Giuliani @ SC Debate (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AD7dnFDdwu0&feature=related)

Mitt Romney fighting John McCain on the practice of waterboarding and Guantanamo.

YouTube - DEBATE: MITT ROMNEY & JOHN McCAIN GET INTO IT! WATERBOARDING (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8ZjtFNktPLA)

Mike Huckabee calling Mitt Romney "dishonest" and a social and economic failure.

YouTube - Mike Huckabee Attack AD on Mitt Romney (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GKbm0QRa9g0)

The fighting and criticism is just as harsh and prominant with the GOP. But now that McCain has had all his top contendors drop out after unbeatable, sweeping victories, it's oh so easy to call themselves the "united party". :D You can bet much the same would happen if Hillary or Obama swept so far past the other.

IS is the key word.....WAS is more in line.:D You'll also notice that McCain wasn't part of the mud slinging.

I'll bet either one would LOVE to be in McCains shoes watching the battle rather than to be involved. BUT, we can't all have what we wish for....kind of like having a Dem for Prez in "08".:D

Clinton won by using GOP tactics. I don't believe she will last much longer. The DNC wants to ensure that the race that was 'the Democrats to lose' doesn't wind up lost for them.

All the polls I've been seeing indicate that the majority of the country is anxious for a change in direction. McCain represents more of the same. It's almost as if someone removed Bush's brain and transplanted it into McCain. The thing that assures me it didn't happen is that Bush has no brain.

In any event, this is not the McCain from 2000. He's acting like a political slut, jumping into bed with anyone from the far right who will endorse him. It's a sad thing to watch, because I used to have a lot of respect for him.

One other interesting note ... if we are in a recession, and everyone but the GOP seems to think we are, the current party has never held onto the White House during one.

This is really the most pathetic thing I've heard of.

It seems like Republicans are so bored with their own ho-hum candidate that they have to entertain themselves thinking up ways to game the other party's primaries. It's sad that you would rather vote for somosne you would NOT like to win in the general election instead of the candidate you plan to eventually support. Seeking political advantage by putting someone you don't want to win one vote closer to the nomination is not putting your country's best interests first.

And McCain could use a little support these days --- only half as many Republicans turn out to vote in the primaries as Democrats, and the money is barely trickling in. If his supporters go off voting for Clinton or Obama, they just build up the Democrat's fundraising momentum and leave McCain looking all the more pathetic.

It'll serve you right if Clinton eventually gets the nomination and then wins. And if that happens, I don't want to hear any bitching about it --- YOU voted for her.

I know Republicans have got to be tired after all these years of having to defend the worst president ever. It can't have been easy standing behind this trained monkey-boy you've cursed us with for these eight years. And if this kind of strategy is the best you can do at this point, that's understandable. You're worn out. The strain and embarrassment have gotten to you. You guys deserve a break. Why not just throw in the towel and take the next eight years off? Come back after you've rested and have more to offer than this underhanded monkey-wrenching.

It's in the countries best interests to know the dirt on Obama and who better to expose it? Clinton of course! Me and many others have supported our candidate by keeping the DNC at each others throats.....divide and conquer.:D

Oh sure they're pulling down some hard cash now.....and spending it too; AGAINST each other. McCain has all access to the GOP funding now.....nothing to worry about there.

She may win the nomination but that would be all. I don't think that the people want either a Clinton or a Bush in office for a while. Running against her would be a GOP dream!
