No lies people! It's a bitch!
I've come to realize it takes an obscene amount of pot to get me good and blazed, which pisses me off. It's tolerance, smoking every day i guess. So I have a plan!
It's sunday night, and I'm smoking. But as of tomorrow, I'm going to quit for a whole week. If on Friday, I don't get high as hell, I'm going to shit a brick.
Does anybody else have the same problem? Has anybody tried quitting to reduce tolerance? I'm hoping it works, and please wish me luck on the worst week of my life

I actually had that too, and I took a week off and I still BARELY got high. What you need to do is take 2 big hits and do this: inhale all the smoke, then inhale some air on top of that, wait 5 seconds, and slowly exhale. If you feel nothing in 10minutes, hang off of a couch or bed, so blood goes to your head for like a minute. It all worked for me, man, good luck.

get better weed i have never had this n ive heard so many people talk about it i doubt very highly that you blaze as much as i did at my peak in my opinion "tolarance" only gets so high before youve done too much lung damage to even smoke at all n u gotta let ur lungs heal but u can still get high if u can deal with hackin for 10 mins every toke u take n caughin up nasty black lung chunks all day n crap like that its more of ur used to being high so it feels normal then a tollerance to thc after a couple months of being blitzed ur mind forgets what sober is till it feels it again but by that point it feels less normal then being high does i duno dont take my word as fact thats just my opinion/ thaughts about ppl building "tolerance" to weed cause ive never not been able to get high ever

its more of ur used to being high so it feels normal then a tollerance to thc.
after a couple months of being blitzed ur mind forgets what sober is till it feels it again, but by that point it feels less normal then being high does
Indeed... it happened with me when i used to smoke more than once a day during extended periods... then i realized that i could smoke only once a day without much effort, so i did it and my highs returned to be proper highs...
And Holychrondon, surely you will be HIGH after this one week break. I suggest you to, when smoke after this break, smoke only small amounts of weed. As your tolerance will be lower, it will be enough to get high. And doing so it will be easier to keep a low tolerancy.
Or you could make some hash oil... it gets you HIGH with far less weed, so the tolerance is kept lower.

It helps if your smoking something a bit better than lawn clippings. I got a buddy with the same complaint, and turned him on to some of what I smoke... he doesn't remember much else of that evening. Spend the $$$ and buy some really good weed, instead of the cheap crap.

If you're like me, you're gonna have to take some serious time off to get your tolerance down... consider taking off as much time as you've smoked daily. So if you've smoked every day for 6 months, take 6 months off cannabis. If you do that I guarantee you're tolerance will go WAY down.. I took 13 years off after building up a big tolerance from smoking every day throughout the day for years. Now my tolerance is very low again. ;-)
Seriously though, why smoke everyday when you know its gonna result in tolerance? Unless you're a medical patient, my advice is to learn to enjoy life with or without weed . . . then when you do enjoy cannabis you can truly experience and appreciate it for what it is. My opinion is, if you can't appreciate life in general (without cannabis) you won't fully appreciate life with cannabis.
If you can't (or won't) stop smoking for more then a month or so, then stop for however long you can and then when you start back try using only every other day or 3 times a week or something.
Oh, and also you might want to consider vaporizing... smoking extreme amounts of anything is very bad for your lungs. Perhaps you will be able to handle inhaling more of the drug and holding it in longer if you go easier on your lungs.

I've never had this problem and never will. Like other people have said there is only so high that your tolerance can get. I just find it hard to believe IMO that you are smoking anything good or even mediocre and not getting high. But that is just my opinion.

When good hash used to be available, I never developed strong tolerances to it. Other than that, I'd recommend getting a few different types of weed, and vary your smoking routine. That sometimes keeps tolerance at bay.
The best advice, which some others have written, is to not overdo it in the first place and if you do, start taking breaks. Thirteen years is a bit extreme, though, lol!
