Ok so I am strarting 25 seeds 15 sweet skunk and 10 mango. So I am going to start them in rockwool cubes. my problem is, that I need to sex them ASAP because I dont want them to get too big to put in my aeroponics table that is 4x4 with 16 plant sites. So from seed if I give them 3-4 weeks of 24 hrs light and then go to 12/12 for 1-2 weeks and remove the males, then I should be safe to put all the females into the aeroponics table and go back to 24hrs until I want to flower them right?
Can anyone give me any suggestions? Someone had mentioned taking cutting off of the 25 plants from seed and sexing them? How do I do that? Do I have to root the clones before I can sex them?
I have had bad luck with my cloning so far. out of about 75 clones that I have tried to root I've probably only got 10 rooted and the rest thrown away, so I would like to try the cutting and sexing method but I'm not so sure I can pull it off without killing them.
Can someone tell me an easy way to sex my plants step by step so I dont screw up..
THNAKSSS~!~

I'm not a pro by any means but I don't think that is not a very good idea. It will probably take a few weeks to revert back to veg, and once you flower it again, your chances of ending up with a herm are great. Its best to grow the plants to maturity and put clones from each into flower to see what they end up as since they will be of the same genetics. Then you can cull the males and focus on the females, and clone them further if you would like. I think it will take less time for you to do that than it will to flower for two weeks and then try to reveg because of the recovery from the shock of starting to flower and then being forced back into 24 hours of light again takes a long time to recover from.
Oh, and for more information on how to clone, just use the search. I personally use Dip N Grow and have had somewhere around 80% success rooting in rockwool in an average of 8 days. Just cut, dip, and put in the rockwool. The key is to keep the atmosphere humid by using a dome and then opening the dome to refresh the air once a day, and don't get the rockwool too wet or the end of the cutting will rot rather than root. Good luck!

I have had 0% success with rooting clones in rockwool and Ive tried to root 50.
I've used heating pads humidity domes and open them all the time and mist them and so on. They only seem to root after 2 weeks in a bubble cloner.
So what do I just grow them toabout 10 inches and snip the top 4 inches for clones?? and then let the plants grow on 4-6 main shoots?

Dude, do some searches. There are tons of things on cloning. What type of rooting hormone are you using? How are you preparing the rockwool? Sounds like you are missing something basic (and crucial) to have lost 50 cuttings...

DDDDDDUUUUUUDEEEE why dont u do some searches who cares about stupid shit like foo. 30 were male test clones and 20 were just shitty clones from the very bottom. So I have successfully been able to make 10 clones with a bubbler and then transplanting into rockwool, its just that i broke 2 pairs of scissors cutting stems and still used them when cutting my clones so the bottoms were kinda cut roughly but I have since bought a new pair of super sharp scissors for the hydroponics shop, so i guess I probably will have better luck in the futur taking clones from actual tops instead of shity tiny little bottom pieces that will never amount to anythin.

Cheesypeace, NOW you can hate me.
My guesses are that it will take an eternity for you to be a successful grower.
Why?
Because you don't like to search for your own answers and read. Before I started even growing I probably invested a couple hundred hours of just reading and researching, learning all the answers to the questions you are asking.
Who takes FIFTY clones with no prior experience?
Its really not that hard. Cut a branch. then cut it again under water, at a 45 degree angle. then dip in rooting gel/powder (optional!) and stick it in your medium (like a rapid rooter, or rockwool). Make sure that cutting is in 95-100 humidity for the first few days. (if you dont have a humidity dome, three chopsticks and ceran wrap works!) Then gradually ween down to about 85% humidity. If you clones seem to wilt quickly, you can cut the tips of the fingers on the bottom leaves to stop water loss (if it was a hand, cut inbetween the 2nd and 3rd knuckles) The bottom branches will have more rooting auxins in them. top ones have less. GO FIGURE
or.. BETTER YET!
Look up air layering.
That seems like a method that would be better suited for your breed of human being.
So hate me if you want. ("DDDDDDUUUUUUDEEEE why dont u do some searches")
!@$*(!!@$.........
And oh my lord, the hydroponic shop has you buying SCISSORS from them. They must LOVEEEEE you

ya so anyway you say youve read on teh internet for 200 hours..oooo whoopidy doo. I have spent over 10 000 hours reading every last grow article on the internet not to mention visiting every seedbank over 50 times and watching every grow video available probably 5 times each not to mention every weed forum on the net.
So i threw away 50 pieve of shit plant limbs that were mostly males, DONT YOU REALIZE HOW MUCH TIME AND WORK THAT IS??
Obviously I have bigger fish to fry you feel me?
Ok so basically you are a deush ok who cares what you think get it. Let the masses do the judging, I dont have to brag about all the success that I have because it feels so much beter just seing you try to diss me because obviously you arenet having any success.
I guess the moral to the story is I dont hate you, but I am definitely sure I dont want to know you or talk to you or even think of taking any advice form you ok LOLOLOLOLOLOLOL

Like I said before--you are missing something basic. Sounds to me like you are trying everything you can--too much information and not enough experience. Take a few steps back and try things more simply. Keep things sterile clean. Make sure all your pH, PPM meters are calibrated often. Test them with a known solution often. Get the proper equipment--ditch the dull scissors and get a #11 exacto blade or even a scalpel. I pretty much have been ignoring my plant and they have been growing like, well, weeds.
Find one of the many tutorials and follow what they did exactly.
I can understand your frustration, but continue being a jerk (you really have been) and no one will help you further. People here are not just waiting by their computers for you to come ask some pretty basic information and then getting shitty with them when they ask you to do a bit of work figuring things out themselves and using them as a freindly reference for specific issues you may be having. I see too many people here demanding some pretty basic stuff that 5 minutes work would net them hours of good reading. No one knows that you may have 10,000 hours of net research behind you when you ask questions the way you did. I actually think it is that research that is the problem--too much noise if you will.
Rant over--I really do hope you get things figured out. Peace. :hippy:

Knock off the flaming people.
To hempygirl: Instead of wasting time flaming Illusion, if you have better advice than what he gave (perfectly reasonable advice by the way), why don't you add it to the thread instead of just bickering?
To the OP... Google 'cloning for sex'. No, the clones do not have to be fully rooted before you can sex them, but you have to know how to clone, because they MUST survive for 2 weeks of 12/12, and don't expect to get any significant yield out of the clones you toss under 12/12 before they have fully rooted. They may or may not survive, but if the plant is sexually mature, the point is to at least get them to pop preflowers before they croak.
But since you seem to be more interested in participating in flame wars than heeding the advice you are offered... this thread is OVER.
