How long until I can rest assured?

I took a pre-employment urine test 7 days ago to be analyzed by Quest Diagnostics, for a company that already gave me an offer and a start date in the future. I have not heard back from the company in these 7 days since my test (will be 8 days tomorrow).

My question: Is it safe to assume that all went well with the drug test now? I feel like they should have seen the results and notified me if something was wrong by now. Any input and help is greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance.

I have tested many times at Quest and I think You passed and Your new employer is the one who is not telling You the results. I do believe You passed.

i see, thanks. i hate being so apprehensive but a lot is riding on this test. i can't help but keep imagining the worse.

i hope it's safe to assume that they would have contacted me by now if they no longer want me to come in for my first day (which is in about a week) eek.

The results only take 2 or 3 days, so you would have heard by now.
