Whats going on everyone, I'm new to this whole growing thing and I wanted to try it out. I've searched through numerous pages of threads on ferts/nutes i think they're called and I dont really know what to use. From some of your own personal experiences what did some of you use and where did you get it from. I have all of the normal places around me like wally world, lowes, home depot, etc so if some of you got nutes from these places, do tell. All advice is appreciated....well, as long as it's not someone saying go search. I know message board forum etiquette, ur always supposed to search first and I do. Help me people

I wouldn't recommend any of these places for nutes as they aren't really designed for your plant. See if you can actually go to a grow shop.

I know alot of people here like the fox farms nute package.

I personally used Age old Organics and Age Old Bloom I got from a grow shop.

If you have to use nutes from lowes, home depot, walmart then I hear fertilizers made for tomatoes would work *ok*.

You want one high in Nitrogen for veg and one low in nitrogen/high in Phosphorus/Potassium for flowering.

O okay I appreciate that daihashi. Ima have to do some searching around my area, i know there has to be some grow shops here. This is my first go round and i'd like to do it somewhat right. I'm soon to be starting a grow log as soon as my Double Gum & Blue Mystic seeds get here. Keep the advice coming, im very appreciative

If you're after a basic nutrients list, here's a suggestion for you Casanova23 -

Grow:
Sensi Grow A+B - Advanced Nutrients (Or any 2 part solution)
Aminozym - Crop
B52 - Advanced Nutrients

Bloom:
Sensi Bloom A+B - Advanced Nutrients (Or any 2 part solution)
Aminozym - Crop
B52 - Advanced Nutrients
Boost - Canna

Flushing:
Final Phase - Advanced Nutrients

You see Aminozym and B52 are both in Grow and Bloom, read the labels, for eg: Aminozym is used 2 weeks into Bloom and B52 throughout complete cycle (Accept flushing).

Added bonus of this list, you can use Aminozym and B52 with seedlings and clones...

This is a basic nutrient list, hope it helps...

Cheers!

If you want a little understanding of what the list of nutrients are for and what benefits they provide the plant:

Sensi Grow / Bloom A+B (By Advanced Nutrients) - These are your basic plants requirements through each Grow and Bloom stage

Aminozym (By Crop) - Stimulates root growth and promotes leaf, stem and enzyme production

B52 (By Advanced Nutrients) - Provides Vitamin B's to your plant for energy and assistance with stress (If any)

Boost (By Canna) - Is a flowering booster and stimulator

Again, hope it helps!

May be best to get a two or three part nutrient regimin:

Keep in mind some nutrients are specifically for hydroponics, some are specifically for soil. Best to get the right formula.

Generally, the two-part nutrients include bottles of Grow formula (for use during veg) and Bloom formula. (for use during flower) If you go with the 2-part system, will likely need additional micronutes. (Superthrive...)

The three-part regimins usually include a bottle of grow ferts, a bottle of micronutes, and a bottle of the bloom formula. Also sometimes refered to as Grow-Micro-Bloom. (G-M-B)

Some examples:

Discount Hydroponics - Fox Farm Soil Formula (http://www.discount-hydro.com/productdisp.php?pid=167&navid=12) (what I use)
Pure Blend Pro GroPack for Soil - 8oz | Organic Nutrients (http://www.bghydro.com/BGH/itemdesc.asp?ic=NOAAGPS08&eq=&Tp=)
Dutch Master - Advance Hydro Nutrients (http://www.discount-hydro.com/productdisp.php?pid=62&navid=12)

I appreciate the love and feedback everyone. The other day I decided that I was going to go with a DWC setup  I was doing searching through the forums and it seemed like a good idea and plants seem to grow faster and bigger if given the proper TLC. Everyone wish me luck!!!
