For over half a century William F. Buckley was one of the leading conservative thinkers in America, and was also in favor of the legalization of marijuana for all adults. It's quite ironic that a conservative was actually more progressive in this regard than some of the MMJ advocates, who believe that medical users are the only people who should have legal access to marijuana.

The very notion that a liberal is going to do anything that would in any way shrink, bring down, or slow the growth of in government in any way is laughable!
I have always maintained that the liberal marijuana movement is a scham, again I point to exhibit A. California
I really believe that it is going to take a "real conservative" to do anything for cannabis. JMHO, you can all scoff at me and that's fine, I'll be sure to check 60 years from now and see how much progress these leftist have made. I am sorry Nixon did what he did, but you know what, I wasn't alive then nor did I vote for him. I don't think that he represents all conservatives in modern day America either, maybe some day some of the people that cry and whine about the fed "coming to their senses" will wake the fuck up and come to THEIR senses and realize why 60 years later they are still losing.

I don't see or hear anything advocating for ALL AMERICANS, (not to any significant extent as compared to MMJ advocates)just special intrests, and guess what, that shit ain't going to work folks.
Now we have these special intrests that have gotten a foot wedged in the door, but they don't know what the fuck to do!
The majority of user's continue to use regardless of medical need, they get their recs, and hope nothing bad happens. Actually the majority of user's don't even bother with recs, because unlike what some people think, there is a whole world beyond California or "mmj states", and people in those other states that DO use for medical reasons, aren't being protected by California state law.
The current state laws here are a crock of shit, now the "activists" are caught with their foot in the door, but they are to spineless to throw it open, and too weak to pull their foot out. So there it will stay, and that's just fine with the fed.
In the meantime, they only garner a small amount of support from the mainstream, (current political positions are mostly exclusionary, as far as those involved in MMJ), and the rest of the mainstream tells them to fuck off. I know I don't really care to hear some ass tell me that he is entitled to use cannabis but I am not, really? Holier Than Thou MMJ User, might believe it if I hadn't worked in a clinic. And before I get flamed, YES I KNOW THERE ARE PEOPLE THAT NEED IT FOR HEALTH REASONS, I UNDERSTAND THIS, THEY PALE IN COMPARRISON TO THE NUMBERS THAT ACTUALLY USE IT JUST BECAUSE THEY WANT TO, THAT IS MY POINT!
It's too bad, I hope it changes.

By the way, anyone know where the current request for resched is? Submitted in 2002 or 2003, so what has happened, I know they are still in the review of the petition, but what exactly are they doing and what have they done you know? Also seems funny that until this victory is won, there really isn't alot of anything that anyone else can do. Unless you can talk congress or the AG into acting unilaterally. Will what has happened at the state levels have an impact on this? Who knows. If it does, then what, a sched 2, or 3? Whoopdee fucking do! That will change the lives of at least 8% or so of all the people that use cannabis! It needs to be removed and regulated just like alcohol period.
So what do the "activists" do exactly? See what I am asking? Until the DEA/FDA return a decision on the petition, nothing else can really happen, so are you buying what they are selling you, I'm not.:wtf:

Good Day, I am such a douchebag!:D
