Im now on week 6. my set up is in a Cabinet and im using a 400 watt HID for veg stage and ill switch to HPS when needed. My question is my plants are 6 weeks old and anre not near as tall as some of the pics i see on here. id say there about 6-7 inches tall and have about 7 or so leaf groups. I know that there are diff strands that grow short and bushy but my seeds are just from personal sacs and threw friends that are dealers. its green and healthy looking but just wanted to make sure im on the right track. I have 6 plants and are all from a GOOD sac of chronic. Also about how long is a plant in veg stage???

How long in veg stage, well, the answer is 'as long as you want'.
You should start to see alternating nodes within the next 2 weeks, meaning your plants are sexually mature and ready to flower.
Just FYI, if you are using a separate HPS for flower, not a switchable or conversion, you will want to run a much larger lamp- 1000 watts in flower is appropriate after 400w in veg. The ratio should be approximately 1:3 but it's not exact lol.

Actually, mine are usually about 6-7 inches wehn I go to flowering. They will go into flower theyll usually finish abot 3 times as big, so itll be a good 2 ft tall when you finish. Short and bushy is a good sign! And it sounds like youre nodes are close together as well.
Either way sounds like youre doing fine and just keep in mind the triple rule!
