he's an italian whippet

people mistake him for a grey cause he's big

he likes sunbathing under my lamp :smokin:

Awwww a beach bum. Whippets are too freaking cute. I would think a big overgrown one would be a GOOD thing- they sometimes look so tiny and fragile I'd be afraid to pet them!

Ive tried white rhino and bubble, both are very good, but I found bubble to be a lot more mellow than the white rhino :)

Nope, you can go on feeding as normal. The first watering should be nice and heavy to settle the root ball into its new home. You can use a weaker fertilizer solution on that one, with a drop per gallon of superthrive.

First let me say I love your dog to freakin cute. I'm glad I seen this thread I was just given a White Rhino clone and wanted to be able to see if mine had the same characteristics as I don't know the reliability of the source. As for the stretching, they could have been a little bushier but I wouldn't complain with how they look. Keep the pics coming.

3 weeks left and i have decided to gradually increase the light up to 14 hours

13 hrs week 1
14 hrs week2

after watching a video from thc labs

it said if you do as i just mentioned you'll get kick ass weed

what do you guys think?

pics soon

ps plant has it's first brown hairs (just a 1 or 2)

also i plan on flushing 2 weeks to end flower

03-18-2008, 04:14 PM
I think your drying rack is cool and your plants look good.
The light thing sounds myth-y to me.
You may not need to flush for the full 2 weeks. I'd feed normally for the second to last week but do a heavy flush during the final week and then give only water with molasses if you wish up until you decide it is time to harvest.
Try hanging the buds to dry rather than using the rack, especially if your area is a bit on the humid side, as the UK is wont to be. The rack may be best suited to the smaller buds, but the big ones should be trimmed and hung. Keep air circulating no matter what you choose.

stinkyattic

I don't think that 14/10 would 'ruin' your crop, but I'd just stick to 12/12 right up to harvest.
I also think that in the next couple weeks you will see some more bulk on those buds.

28"?

That seems pretty far away to me. I keep my 400 watt hps 8" away from the canopy with a canopy temperature average of 74-79 degrees. Not running a cool tube but using 2 box fans.

Plants look great though. So whatever you're doing keep doing it.

How many weeks into flower are you with these?

I take random samples all over the plant. I snip very, very small samples of bud leaf and put it on a white paper plate and scan it with a pocket microscope from Radio Shack..$10...

..but...in MY personal experience...all the trichomes turn at the same time...for what's that's worth..??..:stoned:

will it destroy the plant? (2 weeks remaining )

stinkyattic
03-25-2008, 02:41 PM
2 weeks to go, giving plain water, your plants look better than average. Those spots resemble a potassium def but that's FINE within 2 weeks of harvest. You will start to see the low leaves going pale soon, too- also normal.
Chill! You did well! :D

jchap

thnx again StinkyAttic for all the assistance xxx

stinkyattic
03-25-2008, 03:06 PM
You'll see all sorts of deficiencies during a pre-harvest flush. Nitrogen is obviously the most common, but others appear too. Which one you see first depends on how much of that fert component you managed to get out of the soil, how fast the individual plant is using it, and how much the plant had stored in its tissues.
Chillax yall. :D

can anyone advice me on the CORRECT procedure before harvest

i heard 36hrs of darkness was a good idea

plants should be ready this monday, although the trichs are still all cloudy

seen 1-2 amber

is it correct that putting them in 36hrs darkness prior to harvest will spreed up the elusive amber trichs?

been flushing now for 10 days, pistels are about 40% brown, hardly any yellowing of the lower leaves

any advice would be appreciated:jointsmile:

Dutch Pimp
04-03-2008, 10:13 PM
seen 1-2 amber

..that means ...your close. I don't do anything else...except wait for 10% amber. No water, no nutes...nothing but wait....and scan the trichomes, with your microscope, once a day....

No need to rush it...no need for 36 hours dark.

jchap
04-04-2008, 12:04 PM
looked today and couldn't find any amber trichs:wtf:

they are all cloudy

how long to go from cloudy to amber?

i know i sound impatient but these girls haven't eaten in 11 days, just worried the amber trichs will take up to 2 weeks to arrive, leaving them starved or dead

or maybe i shouldn't worry

i read somewhere that the first sign of amber is when you should flush, if thats correct then i've fooked up

jchap
04-04-2008, 12:16 PM

daihashi
04-05-2008, 04:57 PM
have you run flushes through them yet? How long until harvest do you think? 2-3 weeks? Your trichs still all looked cloudy.

IF you're about 2 weeks out or so I'd go ahead and start flushing with plain water. Try to get out all the nutes and salts from the plants. Less chlorophyll is good too
