hey guys ...
just curious .. im pretty sure this isnt a mineral deficency of any sort as the the plant is in a wholly prefect state , perfect colour through out the folage ,, a really nice dense green ,, but i have 4 purple lines that start at the base of the plant and proceed all the way up to the apical bud, it loooks unreal and it has beeen there since it started from seedling ... i was wondering if any body had any idea about what x species of cannabis this is ,, its very strong smelling and outdoor grown in sydneys weather conditions with no chemicals or pesticides what so ever ... .. ill see if i can obtain a photo of it and post it up .....
but if not can anyone suggest a subspecies ??
the purple lines go up the outside edges of the stem and also colour the petiole,, but the leaves stay that beautiful green colour .... im confused hahahahah

my god. now im upset. 3 of the top ten plant problem posts (possibly more) are about purple stems.

either a mod has to group all of these into a massive one, or people really have to search before posting

my point is that almost every purple stems thread on this site comes to the conclusion that:

a) its caused by one or more of many possibilities, and isnt really diagnosable

b) its harmless, and many growers experience it, either temporarily, or throughout the entirity of the grow.

thats all you had to say really.
isnt it? and walla done.

some of us do read and dont find anything conclusive to answer our question.so we ask,for an answer or a direction to look for the answer. not a lame attempt to make us look bad response.:wtf:

and thanks for the answer too... all i needed to know was its no big deal.

Ahhhhh! EEEEkkkkk!!!! Noooooooo!!!!

I think I got the dreaded Purplestem! Nooo, not the Purplestem!!

See? Look...

I'm almost sure it's the late stages of Purplestem! See how it's knocked my plants on their sides! That's the last symptom. It's terminal!!!

holy shit man! thats the deadliest case i think ive ever seen, except maybe those nuclear wastelands north of mongolia!

its probably to late to save them, but try an oxygen-deprivation treatment coupled with violent, continuos shaking of thier containers by hand! if that doesnt work, balancing the plants by th cola MAY cure the purple, but im no expert....
