my computers had spyware of somesort for about a month,its still pretty bad,fucking annoying too,tried all sorts to get rid of it but some of it wont budge,its really slowing my computer down,and its making me paranoid because cant they obtain private information from it?

linux has quite a learning curve but it'll probably be the most stable and safest OS to use, hackers tend to go after windows cause they know so many folks use it. But a easy solution would be to use firefox, I think it can be downloaded for free at mozilla. It'll really keep a lot of spyware out and you won't get stupid pop ups anymore. It's really good. I logged on with explorer once awhile ago and after 10 min I ran spybot search and destroy and had several listings. I use firefox for several monthes and no spyware.

If you're interested in Linux get Mandrake or Suse, very user friendly with graphical interfaces...even easier to use than Windows. You can have both Linux and Windows on your computer, just repartition and install a boot loader (im pretty sure Mandrake and Suse do this for you).
I highly recommend everybody stop using Windows, the next version is going to be nothing but spyware. Thank you TCPA.

Yes everyone is correct. Let me tell you I have run top-of-the-line software that cost like $80 on this computer and it didn't work. I now have a spyware, adware, and virus free computer!! The solution? These 3hree things.

1. Ad-Aware (for ads)...download at www.snapfiles.com for free.

2. XoftSpy (for spyware).....it works wonders omg let me tell you lol. I downloaded mine from Bearshare (a downloading network)...there is a free version at www.bearshare.com (be sure to delete the weatherbug that comes with it. Then search and download a cracked XoftSpy. It will take out any shit bearshare gives you. Also, Bearshare is one of the more hidden-from-the-gov so to speak downloaders.

3. McAfee Anti-Virus (for mild to high danger viruses). Again this can be free if downloaded from Bearshare. It will catch any viruses and alert you before they come.

4. AntiVir XP (optional) (if something were to be hidden it would catch it, again www.snapfiles.com).


Hope this helps...If you don't want to go through the hassle of getting these items, just get XoftSpy and AntiVir XP.

Also again the new Windows Service Pack 2 available at www.microsoft.com is infected. (It makes programs on mine and other peoples computer stop responding all of a sudden).

So yea hope this helped. I could also send you the software through the mail on a cd if u want for free.

I bought the xoftspy vers 4.10 for 40 bucks(money is not a real issue for meI am loaded)
I ran and it picked like 10 times more shit than spybot microsoft spywar or adaware...
Lets hope it works and helps keep it off
