just wondering why halogen lights wont work

thats pretty much it are the just inefecient? or would they not grow good plants cause they are really bright is it the heat that causes the problems? i just dont see why they wouldnt work

1. Heat- They get hot, which is undesirable. With these, the pros don't outweigh the cons.

2. Inefficient- Lumens per square foot, per wattage is poor.

3. Wrong light spectrum for the most part.
