i soaked my seeds for 24 hours then planted them and watered the soil before and waited a few days, how long can it take?

It take take anywhere from 24 hours to 10 days.

don't water the entire pot....just the spot where you placed the seed!

keep dark and warm and moist - like sensi said .. up to 10 days...
