I'm not interested in passing a detox test, my tolerance is just so fucking high nowadays.

I've been smoking pot for god knows how long and who knows how many consecutive days/weeks/months its been since I've been sober. I don't get high anymore and that just sucks really. I've been thinking about ways to reduce my tolerance and all I really have is stop smoking and drinking green tea.

Was wondering if anyone had any insight on how to reduce your tolerance quickly and efficiently. Thanks.

I took a one week break from smoking weed and I took a hit off of some shake(and a few hits off a joint an hour later) and I was gone,Off in another dimension......I wasn't just stoned, I was gahndi's! My Parables were Paraplegicly Speaking when I spoke.

Hmmmm, I don't know what to tell you. I've only been smoking for about a month and a half now, but it's 3-5 times a day, and tolerance is getting really high really quickly. I went through more than 1/4th of really good dank in less than a week, which is insane for me since it really was just last month that it only took two-three hits to get me high.

The only other thing I could tell you would be that losing weight might help. Now, of course, I say that and I tag it with the warning of "be reasonable." I don't know you. I don't know your body. It may be completely and totally inappropriate for you to lose weight. I don't know! So... That would be a possibility, I think, that could help. The smaller you are, the smaller the volume that the THC disperses throughout, and therefore the more concentrated it is.

haha, im like 6 foot, 6 1 and i weigh 155. I think i have like 5% body fat. im in great shape, i just smoke a lot of weed on the side :P.
IM gonna try to not smoke for a week while drinking a shit load of green tea. Sucks because I hate not smoking and I hate tea. =(

For a different kind of buzz you could try eating it, vaping it, or making oil or tincture or something.

Also consider that different strains may help keep your tolerance level lower by giving you access to something new your body isn't used to.

Just quit for a month. Seriously. I quit for a little over a month a while back and hit the bong when my back was acting up. The problem is that I hit the bong like when I had been smoking on a daily basis. Also, the cannabis I had bought, I smoked when it was pretty new. Now, this same cannabis had aged and had a chance to crystallize more, thus turning into an entirely different and more potent animal.

All I can say is that it was almost too frigging much. I don't like to get that out of my head. I honestly could barely move. I lost spacial awareness. I was glued to the couch and I felt like I was falling.

So, long story short, when and if you do quit for a month, take it easy your first day back on the job. :wtf:

i have the same problem!!! ive been thinking about it for awhile now for as much as i smoke quitting for awhile would make smoking that much more worth while again.

ive been doing some reading and for us chronic smokers THC builds up in our systems making THC receptors less available on the neurons.

Quit for X amount of time your system cleans up and receptors are readily available to couchlock your stoner ass.

half life of THC and its byproduct are supposed to be anywhere from 4-12 hours from what ive read, but i think thats bogus, ive gone 12 hours without smoking and still feel like i'm not getting high enough.

since considering to quit what I have been doing for those out there who dont have the will to quit and find themselves with too high of tolerance, if your willing get a little buzzed or faded before smoking. not everyone likes a cross fade but being buzzed beforehand enhances what little high you can get...

I've been on a two month break so far. It's ending next Friday during my birthday party when I'm gonna have firecrackers with a cute girl who has a huge crush on me.

Can it get any better than this?

well lately my strains have been from cali, a few medicinal, some headies. everything i have is top quality, which is why my tolerance is high. ive been thinking about smoking beasters for a while, because my body isnt used to shitty pot.

I also have been making cannabis capsules (stickied on this site) for about 2 months and have got it down pretty well. I have a volcano (vaporizer) and its infuckingcredible. I think I may be immune to digesting pot as well, as brownies/cookies/my own pills dont work on me (my brother/friends test them out. Theyre willing guinea pigs :P).

you know its possible that certain medications end up blocking the uptake of thc and other cannabinoids, leaving you smoking but not high, same idea or technology is used in drugs that help you quite smokeing - by not getting that tobacco buzz! i personally dont get very high now a days thanks to the meds im on. the higher the dose of big pharma's drugs make it harder and harder for me. any how im quitting those!

this happend to me too what i did was drink alot of green tea,drank alot of water, did alot of cardiovascular activities such as running,riding bike ect. u get the picture.I didnt smoke for about 2months and i did all of the above. I went over to my buddy's house he had a gravity bong and some white rhino and i got so high.....so high...highest i ever been it was a spiritual experience really.Go by my tips and you should get your high back.In my opinion your probobly not supposed to smoke ganja every day it over uses a very special gift from god :jointsmile:

Switching dank strains is what I do to get the "HIGH" back, but definatly making some MJ brownies or cookies is a good way to give your body a change of pace. Depending on the potency of your edibles...you WILL get fucked up! Also, if you grow your own or know some of your growers, try to let the bud your going to be smoking harvest a little longer. For a good couch-lock heady stone, wait till the tricromes are close to 80/20 amber to cloudy. That should help you get your desired effect. :thumbsup:

Dude, speaking from my own experience, the only way I found that worked to reduce my tolerance was to take a vaca from the bud. I know, its sucks but it works. The time it will take is all a personal issue; everyone is different. I did it for my girl (at the time). I was a daily toker, morn, noon, night, & snacks for about 4 years straight. It took a while and once you start again you'll adapt quickly, if you go back to your old ways. Try moderation (it helps).

Now my girl is gone and I can enjoy as much as I want again. Yee-Ha!

I vote 3 firecrackers and half a girl (the bottom half doesn't need any weed, and it's the only half you really need!)

you could either do a massive work out, long runs, drink tons of water...

or just not smoke for a few days. i'm sure the oreos will still be there.
