Volcano's are great! I have nothing but good things to say...
...except for one thing... I hate cleaning the damn thing...
So does anyone agree? taking all that apart gets old after a year. What does everyone use to clean theirs?

I don't have one. Have the herbalAire and I like it cause it's a lot easier to clean. :p

91% Isopropyl is my choice for cleaning no matter which vape you own.

yeah I bet it is..only downfall I tell ya. And that's exactly what I use too, works pretty good although some pieces I have to soak for a while.

I soak the main mouthpiece on the herbalAire (I've got several so I usually wait until they all need cleaning) along with the glass bowls from my Vapolution. Then after they've soaked overnight, I finish cleaning with cotton swabs or pipe cleaners and put the alcohol dish in the garage and wait until it evaporates. I then scrape the dried residue off and add a little to my bowls for revaping. It's just condensed vapor so it's not like smoking pipe resin. Works great!

I call it residue to separate it from the black gunk (resin) that collects in pipes, etc. It's just vapor that has condensed on cooler surfaces. Once the alcohol evaporates it's perfectly safe to vape it or smoke it. Alcohol evaporates fast but leave it out for several days if you like.

Before getting a Volcano Vaporizer, I used to use a glass water pipe. I started using Formula 420 for cleaning it, and it was awesome! I had a bunch left over, once I switched to the Volcano. When it came up on my first cleaning, I figured I'd give it a try, and it worked just as good on those parts, as it did on the glass water pipe.

It takes a while to take it all apart and clean everything. I also separate my metal parts from my plastic parts. There are two different formulas for each. I'm not sure of the harm of using one formula for both.

You can find a dealer near you at their web site - Welcome to Formula 420 (http://www.formula420.com)

I would guess that the one for Glass-Metal-Ceramic has some kind of solvent in it that wouldn't be good for plastic.

hey man i got a volcano too an i know wot ya mean its a right bitch sometimes especially if you jus wanna do one but gotta clean it as its to sticky first. takes me bout 20 mins to clean an replace bags an such i jus usually scrape most the oil off the inside with a knife then jus heat it all with a lighter an wipe off with tissue as the resin all melts when heated an comes off quite easily when wiped with kitchen towels.

Hi guys, I'm new to the forum but not new to the volcano. I've owned one for about 4 years now, but haven't been smoking or vaping the past 2. With that being said, i have the classic volcano.

The volcano is a breeze to clean. Way easier than a "water pipe". I used to just remove all the rubber o-rings and throw the mouth piece parts and bowl into a gallon-sized freezer ziplock, pour in a bunch of salt and iso and let it sit for half an hour. Come back and shake up the bag and then let it sit for another half an hour. From there I just emptied the bag and rinsed all the parts under hot water and let it air dry. Reassemble everything and you're done. Its really only about 5 minutes of real work. The salt and iso do all the real work and no scrubbing required.

Oh and I forgot, you should change out the bag more often than every 1000 uses. You spent a fortune on the volcato, don't get cheap on the bags! Over-vaping your bud leaves that crappy burnt popcorn taste lingering in the bag and bud dust floating around that you'll inhale and get caught in your lungs. You did buy the volcano for health reasons right?? Inhale the vapor, not the dust! That shit isn't good for your lungs.

Oh I forgot about cleaning the o-rings. Just use mild soap and water. Don't scrub them too hard or you'll stretch them out. Gently dry with a paper towel and reinstall them.
