So I picked up this OG Kush clone yesterday.....I couldn't help it.
As you can see, it is drooping a little more today; I watered last night with some Thrive Alive Green (B1)
DGSGandalf was nice enough to point out that the larger fan leaf may be hurting more than helping; at this point. BUT, when I got the clone, the leaf was fine, not weighing the clone down.
As this is my first time taking care of a clone, an expensive one at that, I need advice! Should I lose the fan leaf? Humidity dome? (humidity is at 45-50% in closet, as is) Leave it alone?

Was it rooted when you planted it in the soil? If not, I'd think about at least trimming the larger leaves about halfway back. Also, if it wasn't rooted beforehand, you might want to keep it out of intense light for about a week and make sure that the humidity stays high. (90% rh, or close to it.) This could mean semi-constant spraying, or a dome. Whichever is easier for you. Remember not to give it full-strength lighting until it's producing new foliage... until then, it's spending most of its energy developing roots.

Mr.C. gots ya covered.
Put a dome over there, trim the big fan down to 1" blades, monitor for wilt, spray inside the dome if any is observed.
Do you know which line of OGK it is? (Ghost, Abusive, SFV, Swerve, etc.)

Ok, cool. Thanks guys.
It should have been rooted, but when I was transplanting it, I noticed that no roots were coming out of the pellet, yet.
I'm looking around for a suitable dome-lid now. Also, for some clean & sharp scissors. Unfortunately, I don't have any fluoro's right now; and don't want to go get any to set-up. How much stress am I causing with the 600w? I could raise the light away, but that would leave the 99's with considerably less light.
Sadly, the dispensary employee's couldn't tell me anything about the cut (I wanted to know the pheno/what it had been fed/etc.) So, I asked them if they could ask their supplier the next time they had a chance. So, we'll see I guess. I'm hoping for the SFV cut.....! Never heard of the Swerve cut...any info?

Nope,a dn I could be attributing an OG cut to Swerve that he wasn't involved with. You know...l stoners... lol
I was hoping for SFV too but got Abusive- not a bad cut, for headstash. It doesn't yield the way I'd have liked to see. But the high is unique.
You got 3 chopsticks and a roll of saran wrap? That's a dome, brutha. :D
At this point, you might not even need to worry about trimmin leaves.

A couple hours have passed, and she isn't looking any worse, which is a good thing.
I have been second guessing everything over and over while watching......Too much water? Not enough? Too much light?
I think it was just overwatered. Will wait and see.

I had a problem like that with the clones i had taken recently. Once i put them in soil one of them started to droop badly but all it needed was a watering and it sprung right up in under 20 minutes!
If you dont mind me asking, how much did you pay for your cut? I've recently met someone on ICmag thats a friend of my cousin (small world Huh) and he said he could hook me up with both the SFV and Ghost cuts, as he has them both. I'm supposed to be taking a trip there this summer, hope the clones can survive the long trip. Honestly though i think anything under 100 bucks is good for this cut because no one ever has anything bad to say about it ever.

Ok, I'm gonna listen to you GDS, they just got some from a gallon of 6.5 pH'd water w/ 5 mL Thrive Alive green added. Waiting and watchin'.
I paid 15 bucks for the clone. I feel that 15 bucks for a clone is a little much compared to other dispensary prices. Of course, though, this is OG Kush; the strain that people have reportedly paid $1,000 a clone for.
There are many stories of people claiming to have the real OG Kush, but do not indeed actually have it. I guess we'll see.

There are many stories of people claiming to have the real OG Kush, but do not indeed actually have it. I guess we'll see.I think the whole concept of withholding 'elite' genetics is fundamentally at counter-purposes to the cause of widespread access to quality MMJ.
OGKush is over 20 years old, and at this point, is so well distributed that charging more for an OGK cut than for say, a nice grapefruit cut, seems kind of silly to me. Especially considering the lack of commercial potential (read: disappointing yield). Oh shit, wash my mouf out wit' soap, did I just blaspheme? lol! I got mine for free and have given it out again for free, with the assumption that if I or any of my network have to ditch, it's a matter of a couple phone calls and a drive across county to re-build the genetics collection I and others have worked so hard to develop.
Right now, the 'chem' family are the coveted elites, and we are seeing the same high prices for those.
IMHO, if you feel secure enough, your best bet is to develop a small network of growers who, collectively, hold a few choice cuts to work with.
$15 isn't outrageous for a clone but it should come looking healthier than that.

 Light was too intense.
After watering and watching, nothing happened to her. She was still wilted. :(
So, I figured that 600w of HPS may be a little much at first; so I moved her out of the closet, about 4 feet out, to where she was getting about half of the light intensity.
It took a day, but she's looking a WHOLE lot better now. She's had quite the adventure the past couple of days; driven to a new home, transplanted, put under too much light, fan leaves cut, then over-fed (slight burnt), still kept under too much light, watered again (1/4 strength), and THEN she was shown some mercy. lol. Good learning experience though, first clone.
Btw: Stinky, this was how she looked when I got her. (With the exception of the amputation, of course!)

Yeah see that's the bummer, that people are still asking high prices for clones that aren;'t in prime shape, just because they are ;elite'. She looks a lot better, though!
