See pictres below..( i treated them for calcium deficincy, the first picture is when i thought it had that and now I think I fixed it but it still looks sick) also they were yellow and brownig tips due to somthing I so I stopped feeding them nutes and they as u can see are turnig green again but hte tips are still brown and dying

Age 5 weeks
Hydro- serperet 2 galln buckets with bubble stone.
PH-6.2( was too high before I fixed it at 6.7, 6.8 which may have caused these problems what ever they may be)
Medium- rock wool(which got slight algae on it, i am light prooving my stuff now)
Temp- 78 degrees F
Humity- 39%
Light- 400w MH
Light cycle 18 on 6 off

ROOTS ARE KIND OF BROWN dont know what wrong( might be the problem. Can anyone please help me learn what is wrong and how to fix it.??

When you start to have a deficiency, and especially multiple deficiencies, you should look at your pH as nutrient lockout is suspect. You said yours is 6.2? For your setup, you will want it in the 5.5-6 range.

It looks like you might also have an Mg deficiency. What type of water are you using? distilled? reverse-osmosis? tap?

You're going to want to do a foliar feed with a COMPLETE grow fert to slow the spread of that nasty Mg def.
As GG said, your pH is still way high.
And why did you make another username, dougefresh? What is it with multiple accounts this week lol? If you need your password re-set or something just email a mod... ???

I am using tap water..

but stinky, I made a new name, because I felt no one was awnsering my threads on the other one because I feel I got kind of annoying because I was worrying alot and asking a billion questions. but um, how do you foiler feed?? I bought garden lime (because I thought I had calcuim deficiency (i believe it may have magnesium in it, ) if this isnt good enough can I get a good garden fertalizer at lowes or homedepot because there are no garden stores around here?

Also, what about the roots in the picture above, are they rotting or somthing, because I knwo they arent supposed to be brown?

what nutes are you using? And how does your new growth look....any better? I'm going to beat you over the head with a good ph meter until you get that ph into a decent range young man....:wtf: And you bought some good hydro ph up and down right? Don't bother hiding from me......I have Stinky to track you down....:D

Good luck...:)

I am using tap water..Okay so there is calcium in your tap water and you won't need to run calmag- PROBABLY. That isn't Calcium deficiency anyway.

but stinky, I made a new name, because I felt no one was awnsering my threads on the other one You have GOT to be kidding me. :wtf:

You need to use REAL fertilizer on your plants. Especially in hydro, you need HYDROPONIC fertilizer. Foliar feeding means taking a real fertilizer and diluting it with water, and then spraying it lightly on your plants.

Also, what about the roots in the picture above, are they rotting or somthing, because I knwo they arent supposed to be brown? No, they are supposed to be white.

I'm not trying to be nasty but have you considered the reason that no one was answering your other questions might have something to do with the fact that you don't seem to have done any research? You need fertilizer to grow weed, ESPECIALLY hydroponically.

mother earth super tea Grow..and as far as my new growth, I will take more pictures. and guys I am sorry for all my questions before, I just paniced(im sure how you know how that is)

i know alot of the basics dont get me wrong, i know i need ferts I am using mother earth super tea Grow for veg, is this good enough?. Justb eing my first time doing hyrdo, I think I over fed them at first and had PH to high which caused all sorts of locks out etc..

I do need to get some hydro phup down because right now I am using stuff from the pet store for fish which i just recently found out wasnt good. and and since I do not have a hydro store around me do you know of any good sites to get both nutes, ph up and anything else really important for hydro (and I am not just asking to get an easy way of learning ) i have read a few books and watched a few dvds.

- one thing i am not sure of is if my nutes have all the right stuff in it. Does mother earth super tea grow have what i need? if so I will start to foiler feed to help fix the problem, but I am not sure how much to dilute in the water spray bottle?

Never used that stuff. Hang on google time.

Okay reading the blurb on a vendor's webiste, it acutally IS supposedly a stand-alone hydroponics fertilizer. GOOD.

Now your challenge is to bring your pH down into range. Try to lock it in at 6.0. Considering that you ARE using a correct fertilizer after all, your symptoms are pretty basic, simple, lockout from high pH.

You can still do a foliar feed using the stuff; just mix it at 1/4 what the bottle says and spray lightly. With the Mg def that advanced, if you have any Epsom salts, add a couple pinches to your spray bottle to correct. Don't put them in the res, since that's likely to interfere with your organic nutrient. You might also want to consider a live culture in your res to improve the plants' ability to use your compost tea, and help prevent unwanted microorganisms (fungus) attacking your roots.

The roots' being brown may have something to do with your compost tea. I don't know how much, or whether you have another problem. Is there an 'off' smell to them?

Next time you have an issue, the more information you give, including your fertilizer, the better.

what exactly is live culture and where can I find it?..and as far as the ph being high, your right obviously lol..my ph from the pet store is not good enough, I guess my nutes keep bringing up the ph or somthing. I am going to buy a good ph up/down online and take it from there. I will keep updating my pictures etc..and hopefully they will improve. Below are new growth pics

the leaves seem green but the tips are yellow and have alittle browning and curling on them..

I realized my whole problem was not being prepared to begin with sadly :(. I have now learned from my mistake
