I am sort of curious as to the reasoning behind the way leaves point upwards at times. I've seen this a lot without issues but it would be cool to know...somewhere I read it's due to the water going out of the plant, but I'm very skeptical about that idea and don't believe it...but can't find anything to support otherwise.

I've seen this a couple of times too. Once in one of my own grows. When it happened to me, I wasn't able to ventilate the area I was using, and so assumed it was indicative of heat stress. Lowered the temperatures, and things returned to normal in short order... but at the same time I also transplanted into some much needed larger pots. I'd say it was either heat or rootbound plants that caused it, though I kinda doubt it was due to being rootbound.

Yea it's weird! temps fine, 74-77, and it couldn't be the pots. I was thinking low temp but again you had high temps and it still did it. I swear this stuff has had me thinking and studying a LOT more then in college haha.

Oh, I never quit... just had to stop playing with the band for a bit. My old drummer had his THIRD kid not too long after I had my first, and his wife never liked me (or any of his friends) in the first place. She pretty much felt that our ONE band practice per week, which usually lasted just a few hours anyway, was severely eating into their "family time". But we all knew that she was just a heartless bitch, so it wasn't too hard to accept when he sold his drums.

I played in a few different bands over the past couple of years, but just never really found that harmony with anyone else. The original bass player and I are still seeking out a new drummer who was as skilled as our old one was. (He was a freakin' monster on those Tama's, man.) Still, I practice almost every day, and my son is always right there next to me with a little mini-acoustic in his hands. He's no Dimebag, but he'll be able to say one day that he's been playing guitar since he was three years old! Time will tell...

Pretty much progressive metal, similar in music style to Godsmack, Disturbed, Stone Sour, etc. We went through singers like strings/drum heads. Never had much luck in that area, but I'm trying to get in touch with our last singer right now. He has an almost identical style to All That Remains singer, Phil Labonte, and could really get the attention of a crowd. Man I fucking miss those days. They'll be relived again... just with a new drummer.

That's awesome you still play, even a week off will cause some rusting. Not only that but you play good shit :thumbsup:
I hate when it doesn't work out with ppl, it takes forever to find that sweet spot where you're in the "pocket", (and I know you know what I'm talking about) then to lose a member and have it all fall apart. Same thing happened to me...good old times though...

Singers are hard to come by...good ones that is, same for drummers! :D

I've been saying that about drummers for the past three years! Same goes for singers, but at least they're pretty abundant when you're looking for one.

And it sounds like your girl is a keeper! I knew I wanted to marry my wife when she bought me an all-tube B-52 full stack for the first Christmas that we spent together! And she actually enjoyed coming to our practices, where the drummers old lady would just show up to nag and whine about how long we were taking. Once he finally got to the point that he needed to lie to her just to make it to practice, we collectively agreed that it just wasn't going to work. I'm still kinda bummed about it. Anyway, keep playing... and take care!

eh...mine point up like that sometimes....i thought that meant i needed to lower the lights a bit...who knows....they still do it, but doesnt seem to bother em.

I've heard some of ABR and Blookjinn, been listening to Hatebreed for a while. I'm a big fan of speed metal, but sometimes the growling vocals can be a bit much. Which is why I favored our last singer so much. He'd get pissed off and scream a good bit, but he threw in some good melodic vocals for refrains, chorus, etc. It was a nice mix. This is becoming popular with metal bands... just look at All That Remains "This Calling" (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UcfLkrDXdn8&feature=related), and Trivium "The Deceived" (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OB1jG_J3A7s&feature=related). The second video is a parody... but it's funny as hell and will give you a chance to listen to one of their more popular songs. (And no, those aren't the lyrics!)

ahh yes August burns is good, Lamb of God, old Slipknot, old korn etc.. that's the softer side of me though. I'm also really like hardcore death metal as well, job for a cowboy, mutilated, depacipated, etc... you just don't get those double pedals like that anywhere else. nobody I play with likes that stuff, BUT they like the fast hard drums incorporated into something softer like the bands mentioned above...it's a wonderful combo
