These are all from one plant... I have one more lady thats gonna cook a little while longer...She didn't get the Nute burn as bad as cindy so we're gonna give her a little more time..shes a week younger as well...

CFL's the entire grow... about 450 watts give or take a few...

buckets, air stones/pump, hydroton and rockwool...a few months an whala..Again Thanks Opie and everyone else that helped me better understand hydro...Cant wait till the next grow!!!!!! HID hopefully :D

Heres a pic of the smaller lady, her name is Jazzy..

http://i218.photobucket.com/albums/cc121/GrowMe2007/DSC02748.jpg

Hopefully with all these lights to herself and being flushed she'll fatten up these nugs before its closing time...Shes been in the shadows of the monster for the entire grow..and plus apparently her particular strain is not as big of a yielder as the other..Wish i knew what they were... :weedpoke:

Let me know what you guys think

THanks

Nice trees there. You'll be hittin em hard soon they looks pretty good and considering the burn on Cindy she pulled it off decently like a soldier. This Hydro thing is the shizzy. I already got my buds trimmed and cut. I should have taken a
pic of the cola. Very nice and fat. I think its funny how we give our plants names. I need to clean my grow room and get er ready for the next showcase. I' ll try to get some close ups up of the nugs when I get some time.

I think you would really see a difference in your buds if you went HID you should pick you up a 400 watter and mix in the cfls  anyway look forward to the next time round

Peace :rastasmoke:

GodBud thank you for the kind words..HID is a must for the next time round for sure...

How long did you let yours dry before curing? Mine seemed pretty damn crispy at 3 and half days...I just finished the final trimmings on Cindy except a few branches that were a little moist and put them in mason jars..Almost filled up 3..And they are the BIG ones!!! :rastasmoke:

How long for Cure? One week?

I think it was damn near a pound wet and today weighed in at prob a little over 3 oz's...

Think they'll lose a little more weight in the curring process??

Lets see some pics if you can...Happy burning!

YEah expect a 20 percent or more reduction when dried. I let em hang for bout 7 days then putt em in masons opening the lid every few hours. Gotta watch em close or mold will set in.

Sounds like you rolled sevens on your first hydro grow.

I have heard that if you really want the nugs at their absolute best is to let em cure for about a month then put the torch to em. I am going to try it but of course in the mean time you can be anilelating them pop corn nugs. Save the juicy ones for the long haul to perfectly cure  takes willpower but marvel at them and say to yerself "Fuck I cant believe i used to pay 40 an 1/8 for this shit" whatever it takes and just wait it out and reef the rewards my brutha!

Peace :stoned:

New guys afraid of hydro look here.

Wow. First of all thanks for the kind words. And second, man talk about a first time success. Let this be a lesson to all who think hydro is to hard. Let this also be a lesson for those that scoff at fluorescent lighting. That's pretty good work for HID lighting, and look how fluoro turned out. That one cola is huge.

Keep up the good work. Looking forward to your next harvest.

Thanks guys! Next harvest is here already.. Well at least for our other girl Jazzy..

I'll get some pics of her up soon..She is DEF. a lot higher quality of nug. We've smoked some of Cindy and to be honest i'm not all that impressed..given she hasn't cured completely, we still didn't get that hella stoned feeling that we get from the buds we usually burn..But we get very nice stuff so itd be a lot to ask to beat it on our first grow...

Anyway Jazzy seems to be a lot nicer buds...More dense, more trichs, brighter orange hairs..just all around sexier looking nug..Plus she didn't go through as bad of burn as Cindy..
Shes also getting VIP closet treatment..Cindy was forced to dry with a fan on her because it was so damn hot in the closet cause the lights were still on..I think thats another reason cindy isn't as nice as she could have been..I dried her out too much...3 days of hanging instead of what i hear is normal, 7. Gotta learn from our mistakes i guess..

Jazzy had a hollow stem but Cindy didn't..Anybody elses plants have hollow stems..I thought that was kinda odd..guess just different strain, different characteristics..???

Also i wish i knew if they were indica or sativa or whatever..ive been doin more reading and see that people can tell by hte way they look.. Hows That??? Leaves? THanks in advance!! Ever get anymore pics Godbud?

Well I could sprawl the nugs out but I dont have a good enough camera to get those close up trich shots.

I bet the burn on Cindy killed some of the potency or at least affected it. Let us know on Jazzy. I am telling though it seems like my smoke gets better each day. I really think curring for 30 days in airtight jars venting in moderation is key to potency and taste.

Peace

ok...im gonna ask a stupid question ...can you tell me exactly what nutes ...how much water and ...basically everything...ive got about 6 plants in 2x2 rockwool cubes that are about a month old maybe 5-6 inches tall....i have been feeding these by hand and they look great...[attachment=o179763]

[attachment=o179764] and i have all the equiptment ...can you tell be exactly how u set it up ...how close the water was and your exact nutrient mix and ppm....???i know its a lotta questions but im about ready to go back to flood and drain...ebb and flow...i have 3 plants in bubble buckets and they started lookin bad about a week after i put them in ...so im afraid to put any more in bubblers

Dude get you a few 18 gal totes put 2 plants in each one. Cut circular holes in the plastic lid of the tote. Make the holes big enough to where you can rest growing pots into preferably net pots 6 to 8 inch place. Looks like you could put some Hydroton in the bottom of these pots about an inch high then place carefully the slabs of rockwool on top then cover up to the rim of the pots with Hydroton.

Get your Ph / ppm meter

Fill the totes with 10 gal of tap water depending on your ppms off the tap might use RO or distilled water. If your tap water is over 300 ppm you might consider not using it. If using RO or distilled water, you'll need to add some some calmag and just follow the directions.

If you have a nutrients system like Advanced nutrients or GH 3 part use 1/4 strength nutes at this time for feeding. Mix your nutrients after filling the totes with the water by just pouring them in and stirring between each adding.

First mix your Micro nutrients then stir 1/4 strength (so if the suggested adding on the bottle is 1tsp per gallon then you would use roughly 13 ml per 10 gallons of water.

Then mix your grow nutrients then stir 1/4 strength. Same amounts.

Finally, mix your bloom nutrients 1/4 strength. Same amounts.

Place an apparatus of some sorts that will drip feed your plants. You can purchase simple plumbing tubing and pumps at home depot and make one. Timing the water feeds probably about 3 to 4 hours apart is a good idea with 18/6 lighting. The duration of the watering is up to how you set you drip pressure. If you have a slow drip like maybe 20 drops a minute you could do that for about 5 minutes and that would be good. You dont need to water log the plant. It has already begun storing plenty of moisture and retaining water/nutes. Doing this also stimulates root growth.

Eventually the roots will start dangling from beneath the pot and soon make their way into the water. This is fine just make sure you have a couple of ariaters going 24/7. Once the root mass has really taken off you can back off the top feeding to 6 hour intervals about 4 times a day. Timers are great you should have them in your set up.

There is a plethra of info on this site regarding all this. This is just a snapshot of what I do and its working great. I use advanced nutrients 3 part grow. Great product.

Nice Godbud! That helped me as well.. I'll get some pics of the second girl up soon.. she ended up being about 35 grams dry..Very nice smoke...5 or 6 of my friends were very impressed..

How much better is it to have a drip system? I never used that, only airstones..You use rockwood Godbud?

I do not use rockwool. What I do is fill my net pots up with hydroton then I make a hole in the middle by taking out some pebbles until its about an inch deep. Then I put a mixture of vermiculite/perlite in that hole level with the top of the hydroton. I then poke a hole down about 1/4 inch and drop my bean in and cover lightly with vermic/perlite. The bean will sprout within 4 to 5 days. works everytime.

I think its important to have a drip until the roots start to get into the water below then its not as important.

Good job on the grow bro!

I put the bean in dry and sprouted everytime. If you want to germ the bean thats cool too. Looking forward to seeing the nugs!
