I won't be able to smoke till around June of this year as I am going for away for long term out of state work (drug testing) and I haven't toked up for a few weeks lately either due to a pre-examination next week.

Prior, I was toking up practically a few times (morning/night) a day for about 14 months, smoking around 3g of average mids a week (less than an 1/8th).

My tolerance by then became relatively high; I only use to attain a slight mind buzz for about 30-45min, and was still agile enough to think and act straight.

When I first started smoking, my body use to feel like a warm fuzz, I had the weirdest perceptions of television, laughed uncontrollably, experienced visual distortions (typically the grainy visuals) and lost sense of time etc. - you know what I mean

Do you reckon 15 weeks of being clean would help attain a better high to the likes of when I first experienced smoking (in terms of short term side effects)?

Much appreciated.

Ya! definitely dude. I smoked about the same amount that you do, and after only 1 week of abstinence (forced) my high was euphoric. It only took 1 bowl, and it was just like the awesome, mind-blowing highs I use to have and now take up to 7 or 8 bowls to achieve. I envy you and wish that I could wait for that long! Have an awesome time smoking that stuff .

2 weeks is enough to bring your tolerance down. A month and your back to square one. 15 weeks - well, bloody hell!

The downside is that your tolerance will shoot right up again once you get back into the swing of things. :(

where did hear that from man? Two weeks is what ive heard to totally drop tolerance.

And LIP is right, ive taken lengthty breaks, when you come back the first couple smokes are great but youll soon find yourself in familiar territory soon

Id really like to understand more, like why, people develop tolerance to weed and how that tolerance disspiates, and why we can never get as blitzed as our first toke again

After 2 weeks break I was even higher than when I first smoked. And it was on some reggie. Ive been smoking for a good while too

Everyone's tolerance is different. Some people can get blazed like crazy after a break and some people dont

Dude smoking after 15 weeks while be like smoking for the 1st time, you'll get super high...
But as others say you'll build your tollerence back up when you get back into the every day smokin routine...

It's been over 40 days for me. As soon as I start my new job I am going to get ripped.

Ive cut back so much this semester... I think ive smoked in total only 4 times since the new year started, and those were on special occasions (new years eve/day) my friend's b-day, a concert i was going to, and hanging out with a friend i haven't seen in ages. My tolerance has gone WAY down.

When this semester's over I'm gonna buy myself a nice big fat sack of some real good stuff off my buddy who always has a plug on some great bud, and get completely ripped. It'll probably be like the days when I was first smoking again.

I thought my tolerance has been at a pretty high level lately but I just smoked me some Purps and I am high out of my face. I understand Coldplay a lot beter for some strange reason which I can't quite pinpoint. :upsidedow

Dude, if you smoke everyday, skipping just 1 day gets you pretty blazed that next day. For me it does at least. You should experience a great high once you return to the Green Goddess.

5 days tops, maybe even less is enough to bring your tolerance down.....I know this by experience

In the summer I went on vacation for about 5 days and before that I smoked about everyday for over a year, but while I was on vacation I didn't smoke at all, and then when I came back on the 5th day I smoked half of a .5 gram blunt of some decent stuff and got one of the highest ive ever been in my life...waaaaaaaaaaay higher than usual
