Well this is our first time and very noobish.

Since it was planted it grew really quick til now and it starting to droop.

I'm thinking we're watering it too much. but just wanted some more opinions

What type of soil/medium is it planted in, what type and how many lights are you using, and what are your temps?

Also, how old is your plant? It is generally not recommended to use ferts in the first few weeks.

We're using a 400w HPS inline cooled. Growing in perlite. Its a clone and about 7 weeks old and the temp is usually around 80-85 with 40-50 percent humidity

Straight perlite with no other medium is a bit odd for a non hydro system, yeah?

Perlite is sterile and by itself will offer no nutrients for your plants.

Over watering sounds like an odd problem for a pure perlite grow IMHO. I am actually surprised you do not have to water extremely often as the Perlite holds little moisture...

I recommend Superthrive if you are not already using it.

Try to keep your temperatures at 80 degrees Fahrenheit or lower, you want to keep transpiration down as much as possible. Perlite doesn't retain moisture for very long, as one Melodious Fellow pointed out.

What nutrients are you currently feeding with? And what is your feeding schedule like? You'll want to make sure you're keeping a strict eye on it's nutritional needs, which it obviously won't be receiving through the growing medium. If you're doing all the feedings by hand, have you ever given any thought to setting up a drip system? Seems like it would help to alleviate some of your concerns by ensuring the right nutrients are reaching the roots at the right time. But, then again, I'm not a hydro grower and really shouldn't generalize too much about what method might be easiest. Either way, good luck.

Too much light is only a problem when the clones are young and can't support life through their roots. If his clone has been rooted for seven weeks, it'll eat up all the light it can take without temperatures being affected. Cannabis is a light loving plant.

Using foxfarm grow big right now, about 2 tsp for every gallon of water. Ive been watering almost daily, until the drain holes at the base of the pot have a little water coming out. I think I might have a zinc deficiency due to high pH so I used soaked egg shells in my water, and added that yesterday, hope it works.

Im not too familiar with drip systems or automatic watering, need some guidance, thanks to all.
