1) On the pages that list the threads, I think those "last page" links are wonderful and I use them all the time. I got to thinking that it would be really cool if in addition to that, there were a "last post" and more importantly a "your last post" link. One way I remind myself what we were talking about when I last visited, is to go to my last post in a thread and skim it. That seems to help this stony mind a lot, then I read the new stuff. Come on, who's with me?

2) Seems like people are all up in the air about not being able to message people. Get over it. If a smart person really wants to talk to someone off board it's not that hard to get going. For one thing you could put your email address in your post. I'm not advocating this since it's against the rules. I don't do it, but I see it done all the time. Another thing you can do is rep somebody and put your email address in there. This is not against the rules, and I do use this technique. I don't check my rep as often as I should probably, so it might help if you put a message in your post to ask the person to read their rep.

PS. Good job on the stickys in this area. It's nice to have some answers to the rules and procedures around here for once instead of "leave if you don't like it".

I think 1 is an excellent idea. It would make it faster to get through the posts.
2: I think its probably just better to keep the posts out in the open. On other sites I've gotten some real nasty emails and pm's from disturbed individuals.:wtf:

I'm definitely with ya on #1. We stoners can be a forgetful bunch, and I'm forgetting about previous threads almost constantly. Isn't there a way to be reminded any time a new post is added to a certain thread? Also, though I doubt anyone can tell me, are these forums .php based, or are they some kind of fancy new ColdFusion-like technology?

Pardon me being a geek...
