Hi. Has anyone here used honey instead of clonex type gels for cloning. I heard about honey used for cloning from someone so I used honey for cloning a while ago and it worked well. I just dipped the cutting into some honey and planted in a pot, and put a plastic bag over it and left it outside in shade for a while, watered every few days, then it was cloned. It rooted well with the honey. Just wondering if anyone else has heard of the honey being used.
Peace.:)

I wonder if blackstrap mollasses would work as well. Many people use blackstrap as a flowering supplement, and in that regard it far, far outperforms honey nutrient wise.

Honey seals the stem and does have anti-septic qualities which molasses doesn't. But the point of a rooting hormone is the hormone. Clonex is a ripoff. Check out dip-n-grow. Lots of hydro shops don't carry it becuase a $10 bottle will last you literally your entire growing career and they make no $$$$ on it, lol.
