I suffer from an eating disorder and mmj aids me greatly in stimulating my appetite. Without it, my quality of life degenerates quite quickly...Pills to regulate my appetite are out of the question.

So is it legal to smoke medical marijuana on a college campus? I've been googling for a while and nothing's coming up. Perscription medication is allowed on campus, and people are allowed to smoke cigarettes legally because they have the right to. I have the right to smoke weed, and should not be forced off campus just to eat a meal, or forced to find a secluded location! If other smokers can stand out blowing smoke in everyone else's faces freely I should have the very same right since my concern is matter of health. If they get to stand out and poison themselves freely, then I should be able to heal myself freely.

EDIT: Isn't the school obligated by law to cater to special medical needs?

Its not recommended to smoke medical cannabis anywhere in public, never mind a college campus.. just smoke it in your car or when you get out of class.

That's discrimination, the school charter specifically prohibits *unlawful* drugs and doesn't specify beyond that. Tobacco is a drug, a lawful drug for many individuals but none under 18. Marijuana is not a unlawful drug for me, there are smoking zone and nowhere there does it mandate that tobacco must be smoked...I could also legally smoke mint. If I toked up there, I don't think there's anything the school could do to me legally.

i go to a private university, and according to the conduct code students arent even allowed to possess medical marijuana, even if they have the proper license for it.

As unfortunate as it is, it probably isnt the best idea to smoke too much in the open. because it can still be against school policy even if you have a med card
