Ok, so a couple of friends and I wanted to smoke. We didn't want to do it in the dorms obviously for fear of being caught. So, the next best place we could think of was in my car in the student parking lot. It was a good ways away from the dorm (but only 200 yards or so from the campus police station). But, we weren't too worried because it was like 12:30AM so we figured the cops had stopped most of their patrols and whatnot. So we walk all the way out to the car with the pipe and sack and climb in. I was the most experienced smoker of the group so I was left with the task of breaking up the weed and teaching them how to use a little spoon pipe (which, I don't know about anyone else, came COMPLETELY naturally to me the first time I used it, no instruction required). Then, we pack and smoke the first bowl. With it all gone, the inside of the car is pretty foggy and we're all starting to get a little giggly. We decide to pack another. So, I flipped on the inside car light to break up a bit more. I started talking and joking around with them:

I said, "Hey guys you know, if a cop comes by, we gotta eat all this shit. Get rid of the evidence you know? Cause it's not illegal to be high, it's just illegal to possess."

They both kinda laughed (half cause they were high and half because of the ridiculousness of eating weed). So, I looked back down to continue breaking and, as I look up through the windshield I see a car pull up to the stop sign. But it was any car; it was one of those black and white Crown Victorias that we all know and love. As I just about shit my pants, I turn off the car light and tell them to get down and hide as I do the same. We watch the car drive down the street a bit, all of us holding our breath as he pulls up close to the intersection that turns into the parking lot we were in. We see him tap his brake lights and we begin to completely freak out. Then to our relief, he coasts by the turn and continues down the road.

We all look at eachother wide-eyed, elated that we survived what could very well have been a bad situation. So, we celebrate by finishing packing the bowl and smoking it.

Afterwards, we walked down to In-N-Out and got some burgers then went back to our rooms and slept a deep, sweet sleep.

Pretty good night, but waaaaay too close for comfort.

Keep smokin'!:)

That's a common misconception, many people seem to forget that there are cops on duty 24/7. As soon as one cop finishes patrolling for the night, another is starting his shift replacing that one. And late at night, suspicious activity in parking lots appears all the more suspicious... Best to be as careful as you can at all times. Glad you didn't get busted though:thumbsup:

I just don't smoke in my car. Its kind of a stupid move to be honest...and you definitely do not want to be the lone car in a big parking lot, they look for that kind of stuff, and at 12:30 your car will be one of the few things he sees when driving by.

doesn't stop me from blazing in my driveway though :rasta:

Are you serious? How could they do that unless they drug tested you to find out whether or not it's in your system? I mean if someone has no evidence on them they can't just make them take a test on the spot, it's an invasion of privacy when someone hasn't done something wrong.

200 yards away? lol
Cmon man. What you need to do is one day just go look for a "spot". Every experienced toker has one. Especially this way you dont have to be paranoid

See, I had a spot back in SD where I lived. A spot I grew really fond of. But ever since I moved up to Irvine, I've stopped smoking as much as I used to... a lot less. I used to do it a couple nights a week now its been reduced to twice a month. Because I don't do it that often, the urgency of finding a spot isn't really that high.

I'll work on it though.

They might charge you with "public intoxication" or "public endangerment" or "disturbing the peace" or a number of other things.... Might be hard to prove though, unless you live in the bible belt in which case proof is irrelevant.. :(

Lets say that I was arrested. I was high, and they didn't know it. Lets just say they find out that I'm high after I am at the jail. I now get charged with smuggling drugs into the jail.
