I have about 20-30 semi-empty honey oil viles from the past 6 months or so... As people who smoke oil know you can't scrape all that oil out of there and theres just a tiny bit left in each one, pretty much just residue... I was wondering if i could cook those in butter or boil them to get the oil out somehow? I just think it's a huge waste to have all these with such a small amount in each one, but added together it would probably be a good half gram-gram...

I know not a lot of people answer in this section and I wasn't even sure which to post in but any advice at all would be greatly appreciated:)

Well... you can get a wine glass, put some alcohol in it, and put the vials into it... after some time, the alcohol must dissolve the honey oil from the vials, letting them clean. Then, remove the vials and let the alcohol evaporate. When it evaporate, the dissolved honey oil will remain and can be scraped from the wine glass.

can you not just warm up the vials to make them more runny and then scrape from there?

Thats what i would do funknugget but i think i would use some thing bigger then a wine glass so it would be easier to get into, you know?

Well... the reason for using a wine glass is as smaller is the area of the surface of the evaporating alcohol, thicker is the layer of honey oil, and thus easier to scrape.

Ya thats true! I was just sayin that cuz it probably would be easier if you can get your hand into the rim.

Do you not know of the water method?

Fill the vials with water and then dump them out. Leave a few drops of water in. Take your pin and work it around the vial, scraping at the oil residue.

Oil and water don't mix so all the oil will coagulate together on the pin. You can then pull it out and spread it on the paper or do BTs or however you smoke it. You can get all the oil off, even on the threads. Your vials should get to be crystal clear, if you haven't burned them by now.
