CUP of water or rock wook?

right now i have 10 rockwool cubes soaking in 5.8 ph water for about a hour.. i need some quick advice if i should let the seeds sit in a cup of water to get the tap root before inserting into rockwool, or will i be safe with a good shake to release some water and putting the seed in from there?

sorry bout that, i posted in a few other forums too, i needed a answer quick do too my rockwool is soaking...thanks for the answer im just gonna go with straight into rockwool.
