Hi, Iâ??m planning on building my first grow cabinet. I thought a 1 square meter base and 2,2 meters tall cabinet divided in a 60 centimeters tall mothers and clone room with cfls and a 1,6 meters tall flower room with a 400w hps and a home made cool tube.
The medium will be soil and the strain skunk#1.
My doubt is, are both rooms tall enough? How many mothers would work for this setup, I touhgt 2 would do the trick.
My idea is a perpetual harvest every 2 months or so. Hope it works, stuff is really expensive in this country. Thanks 4 the help.

i would set up the cabinet probably like this. it'd look good, also i would go hydro if i were u, it isn't that much more money and much better results.

thanks man¡¡¡¡¡¡ I love your idea the drawing is cool ¡¡¡ I think I´ll increase the width some cm till have a 1m2 flower room. I want soil because is my first grow, If everything works ok I may use DWC next time. How many plants would you put in the flowering room, and how many mothers?. Thanks ¡¡¡

if i was you i would keep one mother because you dont need more than one.
I would put 6 plants in the flower zone however i would veg them in there untill they were about half a meter tall then take the 4 strongest and transplant them into larger pots.
With your vertical heighth you want to get them as tall as possible, i would toss a 250 watt hps in there with some flouro's when they get taller.

Thanks man¡¡¡, do you think that with a 250w hps and perpetual harvest I´d achieve 70 grams of dry bud every 5 weeks or so?, that´s my goal.
I was thinking about using fluoros for the mother and the clones.
How big would you build the rooms?. And last, will I need a cool tube with the 250w hps or some fans (like computer fans) would do the trick. You´ve been really helpful thanks a lot.

70 grams every 5 weeks? probably not going to happen the average grow cycle takes about 9 weeks. but if you pack 4 plants into your flower room you could easily end up with about 100 grams every 9 weeks. then you have to dry it, which can take anywhere from 3 days to 3 weeks.
flouro's will work just fine for mother and clone room.
i would only make the clone room about 16 inches, enough room for flouro's then about 1 foot of growing room
with the ventilation i would personally instal a squirell fan. they push alot of air fast, then i would hook up a small carbon filter for the smell. you wouldn't need anything to cool down the hps directly. just make sure that there is sufficient airflow through there. check the cfm rating on your fan and make sure there is new air in there every 5 minutes and you should be fine

My idea was to take clones from the mother, veg them for 2 week aprox in the veg room while others plants are finishing the flowering period in the flowering room, then flower them for 5 weeks (that´s the flower time sensi seeds claim) , then repeat this. Of course the first time when I start from seeds It´ll take the whole 9 weeks or more. Am I deadly wrong?.
What wattage would you use for mothers and clones chambers?, thanks again man.

no prob. the clone zone and veg zone can be in the same room/cabinet. just as soon as u take the clones toss them on a 18/6 time schedule and keep them on that schedule till flower. make sure u have about 18 inches in the veg/clone cabinet to be comfortable. but make sure u give the mother enough room (about 3 to 4 feet) Note: clones must be in very high humidity dome untill they develop a good root system.
as far as lighting you can use any type of flouro, either compact flouro or like t5's. i would toss 6 cfls in the veg room (High Tech Garden Supply (http://www.htgsupply.com/viewproduct.asp?productID=51101)). then for the mother i would toss these in there (High Tech Garden Supply (http://www.htgsupply.com/viewproduct.asp?productID=50191)). make sure they are on the grow light spectrum
after there i would toss them into flower and have fun. but remember curing is one of the most important processes. be patient and you'll have amazing bud if u cure it right. good luck man.
oh one more thing, since ur gonna have a mother, you'll probably have one strain for a long time, so make sure its a good ass strain. spend alot of money on these seeds b/c u'll be smokin it for a while

Thanks man, you helped me out a lot, I´ll pot some pictures when it´s done, I´ll start with skunk#1 because it´s cheap, good quality and very robust, then maybe ak47.
