Harvest this?

This is only my second grow. The first one I harvested after 45 days. I didn't really know what to look for yet and just counted 45 days. That was under CFLs, but now I am under a 1kw MH light (i got it too cheap to pass up :)).

So anyway, the plant is about 2-3 feet tall and has been a little too close to the lights and yellowed out a bit. I fixed the light distance, but they seem not "red" enough (many say like harvest at 70% red hairs) to harvest based on that, but it is 65 days old (was maybe 14 days under CFLs and then 51 days under the 1kW).

I harvested a bit a few days ago and it was dry enough to try and i can say I'm feeling pretty damn good.

If I were you I would harvest what you have, and get some really nice plants going under that plant loving 1000 watt light ASAP. What king of ballast does your light have? digital or standard? Look into getting a HPS conversion bulb for it, you will need it for flowering

Hairs / pistil color mean nothing . You need to look at trichomes .

The trichs still look pretty clear from what I can see in the pic. I would let them go for another 2 weeks from what I can see.

I don't have a scope for the trichs, but I want one. I have a friend going to the dam next month and im going to have him bring me back a buffet of seeds! I am going to grab a small nug here and there and test them out. I don't think I can really go wrong either way, just wanted to maximize you know?

It is a standard ballast, not digital. Hydrofarms, switchable so I can get an HPS next time I have the cash. Also picked up a second 400W MH ballast that I hope to use for veg, again as money comes in I can add to the setup.

edit: also looking for headies fyi, so I didnt want it too go too long.
