I started growing a month ago and I have a 5 inch plant growing outside. I live in Los Angeles and I was just wondering if I started too early? The plant is very healthy with a strong stem and nice leaves but since I am new to this (first time), I was wondering if I am wasting my time on my first grow. I can't grow inside so my only option was to try it in the backyard . Any tips????

Too early. I know there is a reason why it was too early, I just can't remember....

I'm pretty sure it's that your plant will realize that it has been alive for 'too long' come June/July/Aug. (in the veg. stage at least) and may start to flower early, taking the plant off of it's natural course. (since you started it out of it's 'natural course.')

I'm not sure I follow you? Will it flower early?

It might. Also, the usual reason that people do not plant so early is because one day of frost/cold can kill your seedlings/babies. Wait until the last frost.

Best time to plant outdoors in LA.......

I'd shoot for Late Feb. - early March.
