NEED HELP WITH TRICHOMES

The more we grow the more we learn right. But I still need a little help, not sure of my trichomes colour ,so can I let them go to far and if so what will happen then ??? I want to get the best out of her eh?? The pistol hairs are turning red and buds are Big and fat and sticky. Sorry I have no pics. Just want to be sure ??

It is possible to go 'too far'. You can end up with hermis or a high that was not what you intended.
If you don't have a magnifying glass (go get one is my answer but... lol) you can SORTA tell the trich ripeness by a change from 'sparkly' to 'hazy' appearance of the frost on the buds. But it's nowhere near exact, because you can't see the change from milky to amber, which is more subtle.

Thanks I just do not want to go to far . What colour are they if you go to far . I got a magnifer glass but it still is hard to tell if clear or cloudy.Got a friend with microscope I will borrow it that should work eh? Does it take long to change from one to the other ?

Take a look at the last pic. in this thread that I started . Click the pic. so it's full size , then move off the pic. n back on it and the pointer / mouse dohicky and it will become white / round w/ a blue minus sign . Pick a spot on the pic. and click it again .

If you have done it right the frost / trichs. have become almost the = of 100's of lil golfballs on tees . There's very few clear ones . Most are Amber w/ a few still milky . I wanted this stuff to be potent -n- narcotic like . I find the more amber it gets the heavier the stone is .

Yes you can let it go too long , When trichs. start degrading they no longer have round heads , they sorta implode / look sorta dented . You can reach a point if you get greedy waiting for lotsa amber - you have them degrading faster than the milky are changing to amber and your losing more than your gaining .

A $10.00 30x / power pocket microscope from radio shack works great . Harvest time can make or break the end quality of a grow .
