I have planted 10 seeds in black gold potting soil in Styrofoam cups.
The night before i soaked the seeds for 15 hours.
The night before i also soaked the soil in the cups and then poked a hole near the bottom to drain the water.
i put the seeds about a centimeter below the soil
3 or 4 days later still nothing
Should i water them every day?
Will light some how help them grow faster even if they have not sprouted yet?

That's very deep. Seeds should be no more than 1/2 cm under the soil.
Only water when the soil appears to be in imminent danger of drying out. Keep it moist at all times, but not soggy.
You need to cut the rims of those cups WAY down. Right to almost the surface of the soil. The rims will inhibit air flow and lead to the deadly damping-off fungus.

the soil isnt very fine so i planted them low i guess so they would be covered. Ill cut them down when i get home.
How long does it usually take for them to sprout.
thanks

I think only a few days, maximum week...

Stinky is right, plant them very shallow. I usually just put my seeds directly in the soil in a clear plastic cup so you can see the roots after they've grown for a while. I cover the seed with maybe 2 or 3 paper sheets thickness of soil and then spray mist them for the next 5 or 6 days. Mist htem 3 or 4 times a day.

k well 1 actually came up this morning, and then i started removing dirt and found another one (left) that is about to pop up. in the rest of the cups the seeds where a lot deeper than i thought they were, so i brought them all to the surface and barely covered them.
Thanks for the help
