Alright, this is my first grow and I have read up a lot, there just doesn't seem to be any good seedling info source (that I can find). So here goes, It is bagseed in a 4x2x5 closet with the doors kept shut and a fan blowing indirectly to circulate what air is in there. I have 5 150 watt cfls about 2 inches above the tops and the temp is ~86. My "soil" is 1/3 MG peat 1/3 verm 1/3 perlite with a little extra perlite and I'm using solo cups to start them. They started off great, maybe a little stretched, but looking good. Day 7 they started to droop and get a little yellow on the edges of the leaves, but didnt need water, so I watered with straight tap water on day 8. Today is day 9 and they still look sad. They needed water so I did and this is where we stand.

I don't know the PH so I'm gonna try and get a test kit today. I haven't given any nutes and there shouldn't be any in the soil. Maybe this is normal, probably a ph problem. Any advice on what to do next or where to find more info is awesome.

Pic 1 is day 6
Pic 2 is today day 9
Pic 3 is what looks like the healthiest one
Pic 4 is the retarded one I call Scuba Steve

You're using peat? That'll cause issues for sure.....can you transplant them to a better soil? I'm using fox farms ocean forest recommended by my hydro man. I'm not a soil pro either so can't tell you why this is good stuff.....only that someone "in the know' told me to use it. ;)

According to Stinky peat can cause a low ph in your soil in addition to keeping things too wet for adequate drainage. (retains too much moisture)

Thanks Hound, that probably explains why my mush casings never work. I should get a job before I start spending 20 bucks for a bag of soil, but I think I will go with the FF soil and nute plan.

My babies are 9 days now when should I transplant them?

Probably as soon as possible because they look kind of unhappy right there. Sometimes these "weeds" act fussier than a show orchid. :D
