germinating too close to surface?

I got some sprouts, but i think the seed is too close to the surface. I don't want to damage the sprouts putting more dirt on top of 'em. Will they still root?!

im a noob but i would say if the sprouts came out of the soil good they will be fine because the roots only go down and when it gets a little taller you can add soil. thats just what i would do but im no pro.

If tap root is showing, and it's just laying there on top of the soil...it'll dry out and die. Would make a small depression in the soil next to the seedling and gently push it into the depression. Cover with enough soil to keep the seedling moist. (thin layer)
