3 days of darkness before harvest

Has anyone tried this before and gotten results? I am to understand it causes the plant to think it is dying thus the plant draws in all the sugars from the fan leaves into the bud in an attempt to remain alive thus making the buds sweeter. I am entering week 7 and my harvest time is in week 8-9. Any feedback is much appreciated.

Actually I use OnaBlock 8oz canisters and it neutralizes the odor completely in my house even though our ac pulls air through the grow room and then pushes it to the rest of the house. I am growing 2 plants and have about 4-5 sq ft of plants with about 20 nodes on each. Anyhoo:smokin:
