sorry if this has been asked before but i was wondering if any one has tried da buddah. and does it copare to a silver surfer. ty

According to someone I know who has done an A-B comparison, the DB is very similar to the SSV, using the same internal components up to the point where the heater cover is different. The DB cover has a wider opening, which provides more air flow than the SSV for the same size hit. This means the vapor to air ratio is lower on the DB, giving the SSV a more 'vapor rich' hit. So if someone who's used to the SSV were to hit the DB, they'd probably want to use a lighter draw on the whip.

The whip/wand angle is also different, with the DB having a horizontal connection vs. the slightly more convenient upward angle of the SSV. Still much better than the downward angle of a lot of box units. And hands free is standard on the DB-a feature that a lot of people like.

Considering there's only a little difference in the hits, and you get the same SSV quality components for about $90 less, the DB is a very good deal.
