i have 5 female plants now in the flowering stage. i have a 400 watt HPS and a T-5 lightig system. i used the HPS for the vegetative stage then switched to the T-5 for flowering. which is better for flowering?

most people use HPS for flowering and MH/T type for veg :D

Both have good results i'm told.. :)

personally, just my opinion, but I would use the hps for flowering. BUT how many t5's and what color?

My vote is always HID, if you can afford the heat that those bulbs generate. MH for veg, HPS for flower.

You would have a much more dense veg with the T5's or T5's with the HPS.

Use the HPS for flower.. and fluorescent lights for veg..

ok i changed the lights to the HPS light, i hope this will help to give my plants a nice yield.

i dont want to criticize but you but i am baffled to an extent that you have taken a plant through veg without knowing this. You will see an obvious change in mass.

as a general rule use blueish light for veg = T5s if blue and HPS red/orange INTENSE lights for Flowering. I

HPS will provide much more watt per lumen efficiency than T5, also HPS is the right color for flowering, sounds like you have your system backwards :p
