I am trying to figure out the lighting which I will use for my first closet grow. Due to heat/ventilation/cost issues, I am leaning towards CFLs. I recently came across this dual spectrum 125 watt CFL in which both blue and red spectrums are displayed out of one bulb. (</title> <base href="http://www.ezhydrokit.com/"> <link href="stylesheet.css" type="text/css" rel="stylesheet"> <script language="javascript"></script> </head> <body leftmargin="0" marginheight="0" marginwidth="0" topmargin="0" bottommargin="0" right (http://www.ezhydrokit.com/product_info.php?cPath=21&products_id=119))

Has anyone had any experience with this type of bulb? I was wondering that it wouldn't be as effective because both are coming out of the same bulb? should i just go for strictly a red spectrum?

would a 125 watt CFL be enough to cover 1 or 2 plants alone? or will i have to buy supplementary bulbs?

Thanks for any advice!

Hps is a better bang for your buk, that cfl costs 119.99 and has 8k luminens i would recomend min 2 that would give you 16k luminens 3 would be a better choice with 24k luminens but that would cost you 360.00 not worth it check this site out www.htgsupply.com on the front page they have a 400 watt kit for 164.99 that comes with everything you need and 2 bullbs, hps for flowering, mh for veging its great deal, now compare the luminens, 2 cfls which in my opinin is the min you would need for flowering 1-2 plants is 16k the 400 watt hps has 55k with that amount of luminens you would have a yeald that the cfls would not match
