i just gotta quick question for all you indoor growers. where do you guys flush your plants at? ive had one plant that i use to flush in the bath tub but now i gotta few extra plants so now its hard to keep control of that loose perlite from clogging the drain so now i flush outside but its cold out there and now its rainy. also its a pain to flush outside cause i have to move multiple buckets of water out there just to flush cause i dont want to use the cold outside water.

i also flush in the bath tub, seems like the only reasonable/secure way for indoor soil growers (unless somebody else knows something i dont:eek:) you could always put up a small screen/ mesh fabric around the bottom of your pots so the perlite and loose soil doesnt go into the drain :twocents:

I use a small plastic table, with several holes drilled in the center bottom. It's sunk in the middle, so the liquids drain to the middle and down into the bucket...

I use 10 inch pots. I think that's about 2 1/2 - 3 gallons.

where do you flush?
In the loo, usually.
:D
Actually I flush my PLANTS in the bathtub or the kitchen sink, unless they are in a drip tray up on a stand, in which case I just make sure the drainhole is clear, stick a bucket under, and flush merrily away.
I DO remove an awful lot of perlite from my plumbing traps on the regular, though...

I agree that it's pretty convenient to use the bathtub. It's the only place that I've ever done soil flushes. And I keep a fine-mesh sieve on top of the drain when doing this. It works very well at catching anything I don't want going down the drain and clogging it up.
Although, I am intrigued by Dutch Pimp's method...and am going to be giving this a try in the future. Thanks for sharing that DP!

I'm thinking I should do the screen filter on my bottom pots in the tub now. I was thinking about doing it in the shitter proped up with a piece of wood but now that I think about it there is so much bacteria in there.

i have all my plants in this tub. so watering and flushing are easy. put a 1X piece of wood on one side to make a slope and drill a hole in the opposite corner.

P.S. dont forget the drainage bucket
