Very bad day, had a random, and got my qf, but was in a hurry, well that one failed because temp too high. Now I am fucked, but as I am drinking water, I still have my little thing that I had my fake urine in. When no one was looking I got some clear water, well of course it was too cold, so at this point they call my employer and have this long discussion, and they let me do it again. But when I did that test the second time, the lady forgot to turn off the water, so I got hot water this time. Third one came out good, but I told the nurse, I have been sitting here for over 2 hours drinking water, I am sure my urine is water down. She said if it is, they will just have me re-tested, but now I am sick to my stomach, I also came right home and tested myself with my little bit of urine I used and the water and it was negative. This thing is awful, and now I most likely will lose my job. Should I fight this thing, if it comes back positive?? Please any help or kind words will help.

I know it is difficult, but try to calm down. It just might come back negative and things will be OK. Otherwise, just deal with it as it comes. Freshen up your resume in the just in case you have to look for another job. Try to keep a Positive Mental Attitude!

Yes, you should fight it if it comes back positive, but only if you are going to lose your job over it. They would undoubtedly test you again. It sounds like you smoke a lot of weed and sub for all your job randoms? Just be aware that if you challenge the results this may give your employer the right to have the drop observed, since something funny had to have happened in order to warrant the challenge of the initial results.

I had the temp down wrong, my bad, it was a really bad day. Now when they rejected the first one, they said temp. Now the second one they said was too cool, but I had diarrhea by than from the nerves so when I took the second test, I let it sit out too long. Now the third test, I got lucky and had some warm water to mix with my own watered down urine. That one went fine, but I am so scared that even that little bit of watered down urine had enough THC to warrent a postivie. When I came home, I tested myself and they all came out negative, the one with straight urine, did have just the faintest line, if you look hard, really hard. The one with the water added came out negative. Not sure what to think, but I think I might fight it, plus the lady twice forgot to turn off the water, so what is that about.

don't let on that you know too much about drug testing policies..... :D the only people who usually do are the ones who have read up on them because they are worried

Do you think i should fight it if it comes back positive???????????? Is there even a chance that it will pass, they said if it came back watered down they would retake it, which is fine, plus for two hours I sat and drank nothing but water, so I even said, this will be really watered down, and she said well if it is they will retest you. Not sure what to believe. I feel awful and can't think straight.

You have to decide whether to fight it or not. Factors I would consider are what grounds, tools, and resources do you have to fight with? Is it a union job, would you have to hire an attorney, is it a high enough compensation job to expend a lot of resources fighting to keep it? How difficult would it be to replace it?

If the job is worth keeping, of course you should fight it. I'd probably fight either way just to fuck with them and waste their time. :D

Yes, if it comes back negative dilute they will more than likely re-test you no questions asked, unless the collector noted something on your file/paperwork.

Relax bro, there are many many worse things that could happen to you, a year from now, you won't even remember today, unless you try really hard :D I wish I could tell yo uto burn one, but given the situation it doesn't seem like good advice. Will you pass? I once did the same as you (diluting the sample in the specimen cup) and I never heard anything back.

If you used tap water to water it down your probably screwed. Most public water has chlorine or flouride in it and will probaby show up as and adulterant.
You've learned an important leason. Always be prepared,be responsible smokers. Next time pickup some quickfix and always be prepared.
