Tupac Shakur is a very interesting character. He died when I was about 10 years old, so I didn't get into his music until much later. I'm still not "into" his music, I like to listen to some of his songs but I don't own any albums.

It's interesting to me, he writes such hateful songs yet turns around and writes such inspirational songs like "Changes". His murder was also interesting, apparently he was cremated the day after he died, without an autopsy performed. To this day, there are no suspects hi 2pac's so called 'murder'.

Something that sticks out in my mind, 2pac called himself Makavelli, the actual Niccolo Machiavelli was an Italian war strategist who believed faking one's death was necessary to fool one's enemy.

Then there is that theory that Suge Knight killed or had 2pac killed. Apparently 2pac was branching off of Death Row Records to start his own record company called Makaveli Records. 2pac used to collaborate a lot of Outlawz Immortalz a rap group he was friends with. Following 2pac's murder, one of the members reportedly was the only one to have seen the assailents who shot 2pac. The morning before he would give descriptions to the police, "Kafi", the 19 year old member who had apparently seen the murderers, was killed.
Now some people think, with 2pac out of the way, Death Row could now produce CD's and anything else they wanted in 2pac's name and make a lot of revenue. In addition to that, a potential competitor in Makavelli Records was out of the picture.
-Some people have said Death Row has been creating this idea that 2pac is still alive, so they can make more money. However Death Row Records was sued by Tupac's mother and they can no longer make money off of 2pac. Anything that is released

I'm not saying 2pac is still alive, per say, maybe he is, maybe he isn't. I'de like to think he is just because that would be more interesting. He's such a big figure in the 90's, there's little talk about him anymore. But part of me is going the Suge Knight route. I think Suge tried to just shoot him, in an effort to keep pac at Death Row, but shit went wrong and he died. On that token though, you don't shoot someone 5 times without wanting to kill them.

I wish he had not died and he was still around. I think he was a very smart dude and had some amazing potential. in anything he did in life. He was one richteous motha fucka.

"And still I see no changes, can't a brotha get a little peace? It's war on the streets and war in the middle east, instead a war on poverty they got a war on drugs so the police can bother me"

Tupac was actually a very intelligent person and he was soo young but had allot of wisdom and knowledge about allot of things. they did do an autopsy on him the picture is on the internet. And i dont think he is alive and i dont beleive suge knight killed pac either because they were boys n yes 2pac wanted to leave deathrow to start his own record label and deathrow would distribute the albums though and pac's life is interesting because he always stated he would die before he reached 25 years of age or 30 u can see it in his music and evrything im a big fan of 2pac im really into his music and listen to his songs everyday. And it is weird that the only person to identify the shooter was yaki kadafi n he was killed two months after pac's murder n napolean one of the outlaws said that his cousin n kadafi were high n drunk n that he accidentaly shot kadafi. 2pac had also told the out laws that if he ever died that they should never sign with deathrow but after pac passed they signed to deathrow and hussein fatal n napolean said they werent being loyal to pac n they left the group. I wish pac was alive tho hip hop wouldnt be so shit as it is today the only good artists today are lupe fiasco n kanye west, jay-z an nas. And what do you mean by he writes such hateful songs ? in every 2pac song there is something u can relate to and connect with

I remebered this picture and I don't know if it's real or not, but those are his tat's and looks like him:

Tupac Shakur (http://www.celebritymorgue.com/tupac-shakur/)

It's not a graphic picture or anything, but if it's isn't real, it is a good fake picture.

My thoughts on him though is that I was never a fan of his music. I was never wowed by it or anything, then again, rap genre music has never been on my top 5 of fav. kinds of music.

He seemd to have an impact with his music towards some people. His music was negative at times and he seemed very angry about the ghettos and the poorness surrounding it.

Whatever though, if it makes people happy, then that's all that matters.

A lot of people might hate me for this, but when I hear Tupac, the first thing that comes to mind is overrated. People are always on his nuts; him and his style represented the ghetto streets the most on the mainstream scene, more than most you'd see on MTV or on the radio, or anywhere else in the media.

Music aside, as a person, Tupac was a piece of shit. Already said in this thread, he was a very bright person. He had a lot of potential and could have done great things in his life. While he did choose to rap, act, and let out his creative side (which I do admire and enjoy), he chose to throw away real potential. His mom tried to bring him up where he didn't have to be tainted by the streets, but he chose to travel down that route. Don't believe me? Look it up. When he raps on how hard it is on the streets and all that, he had a chance to get out, but he chose to go out of his way to stay there.

I listen to gangster rap and enjoy it. I don't agree with what they all do and shit. But one thing is I realize where they come from. Most of them are a product of their environment. Most of them are born and raised in whatever ghetto they come from. I understand that they do what they do because that's the way it is where they come from. However, one thing I hate, is the people that AREN'T from that type of life and choose to go that route. Tupac is one of those people. I've dealt with people like that. They're wastes of life and IMO don't deserve to live. I think I'd get flamed by a lot of people for that, but really, it's the truth. Think about it.

Besides that, there's one thing that irks me about Tupac. People are so quick to praise him and say he's the best and all that, but really, how are you going to say that when you haven't listened to much rap besides him? There is so much other rap that doesn't get the appreciation it deserves. Most underground and/or gangsta rappers hate mainstream because it doesn't appreciate the music, it's pretty much whatever's hot.

Don't believe that? Just ask me and I'll start listing off rappers, albums, songs you can check out that are much better than Tupac's. I really appreciate the rappers that were born and raised in the streets and gave me an insight into it. And you see, THOSE are the people that I respect because while they might be stuck there, they're the ones that are TRYING TO GET OUT. Tupac was out, he had his chance, he had opportunities and potential, and he chose to go to the streets. Most real rappers from a ghetto are trying to get out and have never had a chance. Really think about this shit.

Gurtej05, hateful? Really, are you fucking serious? Just off the top of my head listen to "thug love" and "hit em up". You fucking tell me they aren't hateful.

And I'm not trying to disrespect anyone here, but this is how I feel on the matter.
