So, I hear that California has approved vending machines for medical cannabis distribution.
your supposed to be able to put your prescription in them, be approved, and purchase your needs.
Anyone else know anything about them.

Great idea, nice to see things moving forward for MJ patients. I can see them being vandalised though, surely at some point recreational users will want to get high and try to break in.

That's the style! We gotta have something left to talk about in the main lounge...
What's everyone think then, I think it's very positive, of course. I almost can't believe it though, America seems to put so much pressure on foriegn states to ban, amongst other things, cannabis. What's going on? Is this relaxation of the laws down to Arnold Schwarzenegger? Does it signal a step forward in the decriminalisation of cannabis in the whole of America, and perhaps globally?
Why vending machines? Surely they are going to have a job policing them because plenty of folks who want to smoke it recreationally are going to try and bust them open. Why not over the counter at your local pharmaceutical store? Does that introduce a greater risk to the staff through armed robbery?

Damn, that's California for you... It seems kind of strange, because it isn't like you can get any other kind of prescription medication through a vending machine, so why are they allowing it for marijuana? I'm not complaining of course, just seems like it would be some type of legal issue.

I'm guessing there will be lots of problem if they sold in the pharmaceuticals, the staff would probably nick it for themselves, and there would be a risk of armed robbery.
I wonder how they are going to police the vending machines as well. Besides the risk of vandalism, anyone who is buying it for medical purposes probably risks being mugged at some point.
They should just decriminalise it and have done with it.
