This was the worst sight I've ever seen. My first grow. I thought I was doing pretty good. I left for 5 days for a short trip. I've watered the last 2 times before I left with distilled water, no nutes. The morning I left, I gave each girl about half a gallon of water. I saw a guy on here who said he left his girls for a week and they were fine. Well not my case. My girls are all dull green and the leaves are twisted up. Damn near all the leaves at the bottom are dead. Horrible first grow. I was in my 3rd week of flowering. Well I'm getting ready to trash em. I just wanted to share with you all. See if anyone knows what this is. The soil is MG organic. I used mg bloom at 1/4 strength for feeding. I have no clue what happened.

How was the soil when you got back? Did you try and water them?

When I got back there was still water in the res. The top soil was a little dry. The last 3 waterings were with distilled water. No nutes in about a week and a half. I wish I could save em. But I think there's too much damage. What do you all think? Good thing this was bag seed. I would have cried if this was NL99.
P.S. I've watered them since I got back which was yesterday. Distilled water. I want to wait a couple days to see if they respond. But they look so bad.

I don't think waiting will hurt them anymore. Give them at least 10 more days to see it they perk up at all.
To tell if they are getting better, choose 1 plant, 1 set of leaves, and just keep checking it each day. If you try to compare all the plants from day to day, you won't be able to tell if there is an improvement. Just my 2 cents :)

I'm gonna try that. I removed all the dried and twisted leaves. I have one that I think might be trying to hang on. Only time will tell.

The distilled water hurt them terribly. You watered them heavily with completely nute-free water, like a flush, but didn't give them any food to replace what you flushed out.
They are in pots far too small to support a healthy plant of that size.
They appear to have suffered heat stress/suffocation as well- was the space ventilated properly?
Re-pot (3 gallon pots minimum for those big plants), feed with a correct fertilizer at 1/2 strength to start, do NOT use distilled water unless you are adding CalMag Plus to it, correct any ventilation problems you have, raise the light if it feels too warm.

Hey Stinky. I read some threads were people didnt use any nutes when they left. I thought it would work for me. Guess not. I went ahead and got some 3 gallon buckets for my next grow (Northern Lights x C99). Its not hot at all in there. I have a screen on the closet and my ac vent is 3 inches away from the closet. Its usually about 77 degrees in there. I need to get some better nutes this time around. I used miracle gro at half strength during veg and for the little time in flower. I've read some good things about GH flora series. Think I'll head that way. Thanks again stinky. You always have good info on this board. You grew nl99 a few times right? How long do you veg for?

I've grown NL#5 and a C99x NL hybrid that contained one other line as well... so ehhh I can't really offer any advice on veg time. I flower from either retired mothers or newly-rooted clones whcih means my plants are either vegged for TOO long until they show stress from living in the same pots too long, or not at all.
Veg until your plant is just les than half as tall as you would like it to finish, or until it is trained into the right form (if you are running LST or a SCROG).
