I thought they removed the non- MMJ states. I'm down In Houston where its not realy freezing if youre in the city. Im about 5 minutes from downtown so it doesnt get quite so cold even though its freezing balls. I like the cold however. Ill take cold over 104 degrees F in the freakin shade with 100% humidity. Ugh, I hate summer.

Does anyone know what 'Mids' are?

Recently (10mo) moved to the Great State of Texas from Georgia, back home you had a choice of weed; Mexi, Home Grown, Mids, and Hydro. Mexi was the cheapest at apx $80. an oz, then Home Grown at $100., Mids ran you $120. and Dro would cost you $140. (1/4 oz).

I had lived there for 20 years and knew my area and where to get from. Here all I can find is Mexi and Dro. The Mexi is messing with my lungs (have to smoke so much to get a buzz), and I can't afford the Dro.

Went home for Christmas and brought back 1 1/2 oz of mids, but now that is gone (wipe back the tear from eye).

On mids I smoke 1/4 oz a week, on Mexi I am smoking 1/2 and still no where near the buzz.

Use the weed for medical reasons. And I absolutely love Cannabis ~ Love It!

As for the temp ~ Hate cold weather, but the climate is the same back home, so fairly used to it.

Everything in Nature needs a time of rest, I get that, but my plants need sun~ All my plants ~ not just the 'special' ones. Yeah I could buy artificial light but the best comes from the sun.

People call different buds different names everywhere I go. I lived in NC for a year and 'mids' there was basically just above dirt (So mids was like brick weed and schwag was just a bag of seeds and shake). I hardly found anything that even resembled a bud. Here in the plano area i don't hear the term 'mids' used that much. Usually we go schwag/popcorn, regs, chron/fire. I think the 'mids' you're smoking is prob in that popcorn to reg range. That stuff is ok for bleezies I guess, but for my vape or pipe I usually go for chron. If you are a regular smoker you will def. appreciate the tastiness of the chron even though it can get a bit pricey around here with all the middle men.

I too lived in NC (in the 80's), near Jacksonville, had a few contacts and was getting decent smoke there.

Was born and raised in North Florida and spent 20 years in South Georgia.

I thought Mids meant middle grade ~ between Mexi and Hydro. Between the worst and the best.

I'm not trying to knock the Mexi weed, it has gotten me by, and there is so much and it is so cheap.

Back home when you buy mids your bag has round buds not packed, there may be some shake but that is usually what has fell from the buds in the bag. You'll find seeds in the buds, but usually no more than 25 seeds per ounce.

Just recently I purchased some smoke from the guy I get dro and Mexi from and this is the by far the best smoke I have secured since I have been here. I paid $30 for a 1/2 oz (wish I bought more now). This stuff is light green buds with no shake, sweet high that last about an hour, creates an appetite ~ one of the medical reasons I smoke for. This last purchase is like mids and I am Happy:thumbsup:

Mids are exactly what they are named for; theyre middle-grade.

It really depends on who you know down here (im in houston as well) for your prices. I know guys who can charge like 20 a g for mids and maybe +/- 375 for a fat o of mids. Ive seen people pay up to 30 a g for some shoreline on some occasions. FTW/Dallas/Austin all seem to have pretty decent variety as well as far as i know. Just stay away from the flat mexi-bricks :thumbsup:
