Hello everyone, this is my first post here. Been reading up on growing and have been slowly building my way to a critical mass of supplies. Here's the collection so far.

Bodom-style rubbermaid grow box
1 80mm case fan rated at 52 cfm
6 x 42w CFL (15600 lumens)
Bodom-style carbon scubber with carbon/kitty litter
plug-in timer

The above components are in various stages of assembly but all will be pulled together by the time my seeds get here (would have used bagseed but vaped those and the stems when my last sack ran dry:vap_smiley:). So anyway the next step as i see it is to assemble the actual grow medium and ferts. Ive got a bag of vermiculite sitting around thats left over from a myco adventure a while back and im thinking of doing a humus/manure and perlite mix a la StinkyAttic. That leaves ferts. Took a trip to the boutique grow shop on the swanky side of town cause i thought they might have FoxFarm. No joy, but i ended up walking away with this other stuff called OrganicsRx Supergrow 4-2-1. They instructions read:

-shake well before using
-mix one cap (or 2 tablespoons) of concentrate per 1 gallon of water
-for faster grow results apply up to 3x per week
-do not feed in direct sunlight
-store in cool place

Ok, so do you guys think this stuff is ok to use? Any advise on my grow setup would also be appreciated bearing in mind that stealth and ease of upkeep trump yield and potency in this go-round. My goals for this run are just to get a viable female all the way to flowering then ill clone and do some real growing next time.

I've never used the fertilizer before, but I checked out the product on the OrganicRX website and it looks safe to use. It should work out well for your vegetating plants, but you'll probably still want to keep a synthetic fertilizer on hand for use in times of need.

Like most products, this one seems a bit over-hyped. The website claims that toxic buildup isn't possible, but I'd still use it in moderation until you know how a vegging plant will react to it. If you actually decide to follow the instructions for "faster results" and use several times per week, I'd still plan on flushing periodically...especially if using at full strength. Keep a close eye on your pH, too.
