why do people lie about price?

So recently, i have started to get annoyed by people on the board that claim to get really good deals on bud. I realize that some places, bud is somewhat cheaper or more expensive, but it's really not that radical of a change in my opinion, and I have lived all over. It seems more to me that the quality of bud changes more than the price. For example, an eighter of
nebraska "kind bud" is $50, which I would consider Florida "mids" and I would get that eighth for $20, but Florida
"kind bud" is $50 an eighth, and higher quality than I would find in Nebraska. I just get so annoyed when people will be consistently quoting the price of, lets say, an ounce of mids, or crippy/kind bud, and someone pops in and says "I can get an ounce for $40". No, you fucking can't, unless you are BFF with a grower or if its some shit ass bud. And you know then, that you are not quoting someone a price of a regular ass person in your area, you're just being a braggart or misleading. I mean we have all have times when we got a huge quantity of bud for extremely cheap but for most people, this is not a normal thing. No one thinks youre fucking cool because you claim to get bud for so cheap.

And who the fuck cares if you smoke good bud or bad bud? Who really gives 2 shits? Some people prefer to smoke crippy blunts. Some people like to smoke crippy out of a bowl. Some people like smoking regs blunts or mids blunts because they like the process of rolling a blunt and want to be able to smoke more often. Some people smoke regs because they don't smoke very often and two hits of some regs gets them stoned. I just am sick of people who feel like they have to rub their weed good fortune in everyones face.

I have noticed that as well,I dont get weed for dirt cheap either,The cheapest I ever gotten weed was when I was in Tonga.They dont even ask you for money,people would exchange stuff like lobsters or some fish and get like a Bag of weed.....no weighing or anything it was like "Is this enough?" There was no set price.My Best freinds bro used to just give weed to people if they wanted.But I remember hoeing weeds in my freinds dads farm and he gave us a sandwich bag full of buds.
But I agree,$50 bucks an eighth is what pay here as well.

The price of your weed (no matter if it's the K'est KB or the lowest schwagg) depends 100% on your relationship with your supplier. If you are in good with a good grower, or someone close to a grower, your weed could be cheaper than free.
But more importantly...
Who cares?
Why does it matter what someone else pays for weed, or whether yours is more or less dank for the same price?
It's not about money.

I usually post both location and type.
In New Hampshire/northern Massachusetts:
Good:$25-$35=1/8(friend deals maybe $20)
Reggie:$100-$120=Oz(friend deals are $80)
In Louisiana:
Good:$50-$60=1/8(people will try you for $20=gram)
Reggie:$50-$65=Oz(This reggie is usually better than NH/MA)
As you can see, supply and demand dictate price here in the US.
Closer to the Mexico border = Cheaper/fresher reggie
Closer to Canada = Cheaper/better Good
Special to note would be that, I've gotten some rotten brown reggie in Mass and paid $100/Oz. At the same time I get really good looking reggie here in Louisiana for dirt prices.

Some people want to look important in the eyes of other people and they get a good feeling from that. Where I used to work we had a few people who were "1 ups". No matter how good a story you just told they chime in with an even better one, just to one up you. So we call them the "1 ups." Same with the weed price thing. And it doesn't matter if they say it's more expensive or cheaper they just want to one up you. ;)

Where i live, if you want to buy skunk (high grade cannabis) from 1g to one OZ you get to pay from 8 to 15 euros per gram. Now if you want to buy half or a full kilo (500g to 1000g) you can get it for as much as 4 to 5euros per gram. But i know some people that can get it for as much as 3 euros gram when they buy full kilos of skunk. Thats ridiculous.. 3 euros per gram usually gets you swagg or mids on the street.. And where i live we have 2 kinds of "high grade". One we reffer to it as "skunk" and its imported skunk from holland and other places in europe, dealers gets em for 3 to 6euros./g, users for 8 to 15euros/g. The other one we call it "local" and its our local outdoor grown sativas of supreme quality. Dealers get it either free (grow it) or 2 to 5 euros per g, users for 5 to 15euros per gram. So it all depends on the people you know... Sure some people may be saying shit on the internet but i have seen so crazy deals in my life that now i believe that if you know the right guys everithing is possible. I used to get skunk for 12euros/g. Now i can get better quality for almost half the price bcoz i know different people. I dont really care if anyone believes me or not. I have no way to prove it. And i dont want to. I just post what i get with some info and yes I like when people reply possitive stuff in my threads and we exchange comments and thats it. Back to real life. And i dont care if someone says "i can get a full oz for 50 cents". I'll probably +rep him. Its not like he insulted my intelligence or anything. Im going to laugh and thats it...

I find it quite possible for anyone to quote prices for areas unless it's the same person you get it from that they do..some people make money when you go through a middle man...usually about all the time they do..it's called supply and demand..and it creates a broad fluctuation in prices quite easily.:thumbsup:

I think some people like to lie about the price of everything, not just buds. They like to seem like they get a better deal than everyone else. In the case of buds, it's irritating, because it's difficult to price shop --- it's not like stopping at Target, Walmart and Safeway to see who has the best deal on 24-count double rolls of Charmin Extra Soft Triple Ply, which is the haze dro dankness purple buds of toilet paper, like wiping your ass on a cloud. It's nice to get accurate pricing info so you can see if you are at least in the ballpark for what you are paying.
