Hi, could any experienced growers give me their oppinion,

My first grow ( obviously!) , I started a plant in a ten inch pot but half way through veg state the roots began appearing out through holes on drain holes in pot, since the pots were a little on the small size to begin with then I decided to sit the pots in soil on clear plastic trays without drainholes ( 3in deep) , now I can see roots all over bottom of clear tray, can this be a problem? I think its not a good idea to have light hitting the roots?.
Should I remove trays and excess roots in tray? Or transplant plant into a double pot situatuion? ( pot in soil in second pot).
Or just let as is?

I started 12/12 stage 10 days ago. and haven't seen much growth since changeover , older leafs are dark green , recently all the leaves are starting to droop signifcantly but as its my first grow I just need reassurance I suppose , maybe this is all normal , a pic would say it all but no access to dig camera unfortunately.
I use Iguana Juice Bloom very sparingly in a good soil with perlite.

I would be grateful of any feedback,

Cheers

Paul

Personally I would repot in to a larger pot as to ya leaves drooping I belive that could be a sign of over watering how often do you water?

Thanks for reply,

I water about 500ml every 2 days, they are about 2.5 foot high and good foilage, too much? hope not as I gave them 1litre each tonight hoping it was underwaterred, being honest I am unsure when they need water as I only test by poking finger down and it is always dry every 2nd day, even the clear trays that are only 3inch deep get bone dry before I give the 500ml.

Would like to repot but that would mean cutting off huge root system that developed in trays underneath, that a bad thing?

Thanks Paul
