I really want to grow indoors, but I really want a grow closet of some sort, so that I can close the door and lock, as well as keep the smell down. So, I was loooking at
BC Northern Lights (http://www.bcnorthernlights.com), specifically at the "mothership". I want to grow about 2-3 plants at a time, how do you guys think this will work? I've never used a hydroponic system, so I have no clue if this is good or not. Thanks again!

Those things are good for what they are intended for:
Growing from clones. You really want a source of cuttings for them to be anywhere near worth the money. If you want to buy one, I'd suggest a 2-chamber model so you may keep a mother plant. You WILL be keeping a mom eventually. Really. It's the efficient way to do things and allows you to harvest twice as often.
I think they are a solid product but very expensive. You can build your own grow cabinet from an old armoire or standing tool closet quite cheaply.
The BC cabinets kinda seem to me like you buy one and then stick it in someone elses' house, lock it down, check it once a week, and let them take the fall for you... a bit distasteful. Then again, if you've got a garage, spray paint the whole thing bright red, dent it up a bit, slap some snap-on stickers and a confederate flag decal on the thing, stick a bunch of empty Bud cans on top, and it looks like a tool box.
