I just did a bucket of nutes, and with only 2 gallons of distilled water and the appropriate nutes I test the water 2 hours later in the bucket still and my numbers are half of what they should be.
My nutes say the PPM should be between 1000-1200 and I am only measuring 520ppm? Any idea why its not where the range should be and since its 3 part and a supplement of golden nectar do I just add more of all nutrients or some of certain ones or not?
I want to be at the PPM per the instructions even if what they recommend I use to get that number fell short?

k, couple of things:
First, who's that girl in the picture? Second, your meter could be off so make sure its calibrated. Use EC readings instead of TDS. TDS is actually EC in micro siemens X 600 - 700. As such certain nutes manufacturers will tell you different TDS readings based on the most popular meters. BUT, the EC will always be the same!
So I assume what you are doing is adding the recipe and not getting the reading on the recipe label. If all else is accurate than don't worry about it, heres what you do:
Mix up the batch and feed it to them. Check the EC for a week, every day. If the reading goes down, increase your nutes on the next run. If your nutes are going up, then it was too strong for them and mix less next time.

First, who's that girl in the picture? Is she in trouble? If not thats me :)
Anyways I have been testing the PH and PPT (converting into ppm), and I have TDS but just dont understand it enough to be concerned with it.
Monday was 1 week since putting clones into my watergarden, the nutes were a bit 2 strong and got them down but now 1 plant is showing signs of nute deffincies but she is so big compared to the 3 other clones I got at the same time. 1 is totally hurting after a cat had a few minutes alone with it, and 2 more are just fine but not where near as big as this super big plant I was going to move over into her own bucket and feed the new stronger nutes she should have been in Monday. I just couldnt get the ppt (ppm...) down to 300-400 for what seemed like forever. I got 1 huge plant thats getting yellow veins and thats a lack of certain nutes from what I see? Is this smart?

do you just have the waterfarm setup or other stuff your growing in. you should only run one strain in you waterfarms at a time if their all tied to the same controller.
i run two separate waterfarms with my mother plants in them with a aerocloner i made under them all in a armoire i converted to a veg cab. i veg the mom's 24/7 with a 5 2ft floro's like 100w's, in the lower camber i have the areocloner with just 2 2ft floros.
so pick a strain i want to grow, cut the clones off, put them into my aerocloner, wait a few days like a week sometimes longer, until their nice and rooty. i then move them from there to my waterfam 8pack. give them a week or two to veg and get used to it, then i flower them.
i think you'll have a hard time finding the real, ppm,e.c.,ph,tds, of your system with out it recirculating your nutes. i keep a tri meter in the last waterafrm in my 8pack it reads, ph,ppm, and temp. i raise and lower my controller by lifting higher then my waterfarms to get all to mix well. works well for now but i'll make it a recirculating system.
try checking each waterfarm and see if there all the same reading, it they are then it mixes well then your reading are right if not then you need to get them all the same by getting the mix better.

Sorry I couldn't follow up earlier. How are your plants?

They are doing good, meaning they are alive and starting to smell so good!!!
Water problems still making me crazy PH PLUNGES, and no real pattern or obvious reason why.

Now if you tell me that's a pic of you too I'll start to lose it. Where are you again in Cali?
Anyway, the pH plunging sounds to me like you don't have the right balance of nutes for your plant yet. So the plants are drinking lots of water and less nutes and that's why your pH is not aligned.
Try this: take a reading of your EC (ppm) everyday. Does it go up, down, or stay the same?
If it's going up, it's a little strong for your plants, if it goes down, its a little weak. If it stays the same pretty much, then you have a good balance.
Do that and report back.
