What Is Your Biggest Vanity?

Mine has to be my hair. I have straight black half way down my back hair. Its got lots of body, thick, voluminous, soft. No chemical besides shampoo and conditioner touches my hair EVER. im always making sure my hair looks good. Im not stuck up about it or obsessive about people close to me touching my hair. A former friend of mine always told me he wanted to fuckin my hair.. yes, its that pretty. lol whats yours?

Ya know, I thought the same thing, but I was stoned, Freshly dried after a shower, and it just felt and looked so pretty.. its just about the only thing I love about my appearance.

My eyebrows. I am in no way a make-up dressy up person, but my eyebrows have to be perfectly plucked for some reason.

I'm not very vain but i like to keep slim, i will never allow myself to become fat, i'm disgusted by that.

My hands. I like my nails to look good. I don't often wear nail polish other than clear sealer, but I like them to be all the exact same length, and filed off clean and square. I have a working person's hands, big and strong, but well-proportioned. I look at hands on other people so I take care of my own. You can tell a lot about a person by looking at their hands, and when I look at mine, I think of the skills that I have- my hands have built violins, dissected fish, chopped firewood, cleared brush, cooked feasts, repaired analytical equipment, kneaded bread, worked on vehicles, planted gardens, shaped pottery, written poetry, sorted bycatch on fishing boats, rolled hundreds of burritos, played fiddle, the list goes on... and they will do much more before I'm through... vanity or a sense of pride that I have earned... maybe a little of both.

I get compliments on my eyes a lot. They are very blue and I'm quite expressive with my eyes so I guess people are drawn to them?!

She is just valuing something about her. Sometimes, it's great to look in the mirror and look for things to make you happy about yourself. Now, if she said she had the prettiest hair in the world, fine. But i think obsessive and self-centered seem kind of harsh.

I agree. It is nice to see people say nice things about themselves sometimes. I think there are way more people who are down on themselves and depressed than who like their hair too much. Good for you Hilder, keep it growin.

But my ex-girlfriend had an awesome butt, and she knew it and i thought that her confidence in it was hot. She would talk down on herself alot more than she would be conceited so it made me happy to hear her say something nice about herself.

Mine's probably having muscles and staying lean. I like my body to be in good shape. Good advertising for good health. My wife thinks it's about vanity, though. I like my shoes to look good and my clothes to be pressed and clean, too.

I started thinking about my wife's. She's not much into vanity, which is nice. I'm not sure she knows how good she looks. Or maybe she does and so doesn't have spend much time obsessing about it. I think she's like you, Stinky. She likes her hands and nails to look nicely manicured and clean. She sometimes sleeps in hand cream and gloves.

I think my eyes are quite pretty, even though at this age, I have more than a few laugh lines that crinkle when I smile. Funny, my hands are probably my worst feature- I have very bad excema so they are always cracked and sore no matter what I do, and I have big veins on the backs of my hands, so they look ancient! I actually try to hide my hands most of the time, and will only get a manicure if it is a very special occasion. I like my feet better though, and love getting pedicures to show them off!

Demeter darlin, I just had a thought.
I've got some extra weed laying around- culls that I never allowed to fully ripen because they were too ugly to live, and I refuse to smoke them because of my anxiety. So if you are interested, let's get together and see if we can't make some anti-inflammatory medicated hand lotion from them. I need some better face moisturizer too because in this dry weather I'm having the same problems- wind burn, cracking, redness, the works.
I still think you look like a petite version of Wonder Woman... :D
