Hey Gang of Growers,
This is how I start my seeds...a kind of seed soaker if you will..Fish meds came in them...meds gone, new use...Your method of water mix is up to you...the best part is, the water and the plastic tube, magnify the seeds..so you can see the crack of the seeds much quicker, and no muss no fuss...after they crack, next stop, rag in a bag...no paper towels any more...

Keep your eyes open next time you are in your other goodie store...the pet shop...good place for the little thermometers, humidity gauges etc..

Give it a shot...see what you think...

Peace,

how long usually before they crack.

That depends on how viable the soaking seeds are..I have had seeds crack in 12 hrs but thats not the norm...I have T HazexSkunk1 soaking since 1-23..at 11:40am..and they havent cracked as yet..

It's better to only use just as much water as it takes to moisten the seeds. They shoudln't be fully under water. Just a couple drops in the bottom of the vial are all you need. I assume that you are able to check them frequently enough that the moment they crack you can remove them from the water, which is why you are able to do it that way?

I watch them, like the new babies that I hope they will be..constantly...viable seeds I have tried using this manner usually pop over night...guess this time they arent viable...we will wait till 11:40am today and see what happens...

Thanks Stinky for your advice...
